Mornin' Glories

What do they say about April showers bringing May flowers? Then, from this next week's forecast, we will be covered up with May flowers. We are gonna have rain for a whol week.

I hope all the kiddo's at the Church Easter egg hunt tomrrow, find my eggs, as they have MONEY in them. I put quarters and dollar bills in some eggs, as well as candy in all the others. But, there is $10.00 in eggs out there somewhere. I told Jim that we will go over the churchyard next Monday, just to be sure all my quarter are gone. The dollar bills I don't know how to find.

Will be a p.j. day today. Yesterday was bad. I went for a walk, stopped to talk to a neighbor, who was out burning leaves.  Talked for about 5 mins, then noticed I was getting kinda short of breath. Hello, can you say "don't forget your asthman?" So, I turned around and headed home, having to walk through the smoke again. I had been to get a steriod shot for my hives, yesterday morning, so alredy had a lot of steriods on board, Then, went to the rescue inhaler several times. Spent all of Bible study coughing and wheezing. Jim wants to stop in at the ER and get me a breathing treatment but no, I didn't need it. Yeah, right. Came homee and spent the whole evening struggling. But, by then all the steroids had me shaking like a leaf. It also won't let me sleep. Arrgh! Today, I have a killer headache and just a so tired.

The quilt for QHFM is coming along well. It will be so dang cute. Speaking of Madds, they will be home from Disney today.

Have a wonderful Good Friday. Today, let's pray while we sew. We have so much to be thankful for, and there is so much for God to help us with. HE IS RISEN!! Here is a premature HAPPY EASTER< ever'body.

Be very careful about being in line of fire of any smoke.  Many times there are poison ivy and oak in the rakings and the smoke is even more dangerous than touching the plant itself.

Thanks, Joni. If this gets worse, I will head to the ED. I am still having problems today. My lungs are just burning feeling. Wheezing a bit, also.

Happy Good Friday Ever'body!

It's Ds1's B-day. He got a spiffy new guitar. He's been trying to learn on his daddy's old relic, but that battered beast has seen many miles and doesn't stay in tune for more then a moment, not too mention being far too big for his hands. He's pretty excited. His sis has already put in a request for him to play at her wedding (!??)

Gotta bake a cake. Nothing fancy this time. He just wants German Choc so my wrists are saved from having to squeeze icing! Yay!

I've been gone a few days. I came down with a virus thiover the weekend that hit like a run-away freight train. I'm finally feeling better, but I'm behind on everything... and this is NOT the week to fall behind. Between the birthday and the holiday I have extra to do. LOL

The contractor called 3 weeks ago and said he'd be here this week to insulate the attic. Still haven't seen him... Today is going to be a go-go kind of a day so it's gonna be a juggling act to have somebody here all day in case he comes. Hopefully the job won't take long once they get here and get set up...IF they get here.

Kids and hubby are all home for a long holiday break. DH is already driving me nuts with the TV on all the time and the volume going up -Up - UP as the day wears on. I told him to take the boys out and make a potato cannon to use up the last of last seasons spuds that are trying to sprout in the cellar... That should keep them busy and get tehm out from under foot for a few hours! Maybe I can even get the boss-guys to participate...

CC wondered where you had gone to. Glad to hear you have survived yet another creeping crud.

Sounds like me, with the Dh and loud volumn on the TV. He is hands on with that clicker all the time. If I do get it (when he leaves the room), he grabs it right back, upon reentry. Men sure have a lot of pride in those long things, huh? He will leave the room when a commercial comes on. Well, the sounds elcalates out of sight, when those attempts to sell Viagra or wanting guys to See Alice . I fuss at him all the time to turn it down a dicible or five, when he leaves the room. Ha, that will never happen.

Read in our local newspaper, yesterday, that there is a drone that flies over our little hamlet. Oh, my. I had no idea. Those who have something, on their property to hide ,(stills, pot growing, Meth lab, deers with no tags), are up in arms about it. So, it is grounded for a time. Will be back up once the powers that be get a clear explanation of juds what it being done with the pictures. Don't know where it even came from. I have never seen it. It has a 16 ft. wingsspan. There was a picture of it, along with the article. Looks like a RCA, on steriods Jim said it would hum like an RCA, only louder. Wish I could see it fly over. I have none of the above to hide. Though, I wouldn't  mind seeing the picture of our property from that vantage point.

Asthma attack is getting worse. May be an ER visit in the near future. Need to take a shower, dry and style my hair, and get made up first. Might run into someone I know. Better go before I totally stop breathing and end up in an ambulance with pj's on, and dirty bedhead. Heaven forbid.

Today is the 29th of March.  My daughter in law's birthday.  She and the whole family have had a very eventful week.  On Monday, March 25th, we were blessed to become grandparents to a new grand child (#9).  Adelyn Elizabeth was born to our son and daughter in law very healthy and very little.  She was 7lbs. 12 oz. and 20 inches long.  She will need to grow and learn to go with the flow as she has 3 older brothers and a 3 year old sister at home.  She definately will be a tough little sprite fending off the others!  LOL!!!  All are doing well.  My son's birthday was the 26th and little Adelyn's mommies b.day is today.  March has been full of many blessings.  Our daughter's anniversary (12) was also this week along with my mother's birthday. A week to celebrate indeed.

Looking forward to next Monday---taking #2 son to Sioux Falls, SD to have a new eye made.  One day to drive, next day full of  appointments and return home on Wednesday.  Thursday, I think I will crash and burn.  Then I will look over the goodies I will buy, (no doubt I'll buy) at Heirloom Creations and find something wonderful to begin to make. Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Happy and Blessed Easter everyone!!  And,  Happy Quilting!!!

Tammy, your March has been very eventful.  Today would have been my father-in-law's 91st birthday, but we lost him to a heart attack 14 years ago in August.  Other than my father-in-law, we have no birthdays or anniversaries in March except for one niece who's birthday was the 3rd.  Our busy months are January, July, August, November, and December.

Woke up this morning and told DH the dark wood shutters on living room window is coming down.  I've been wanting it down many years now, and it ended up DH had to help me get it down ... it was like the screws were welded into wood.  After I had prep work to do before heaven help me painting again.  My neighbor gave me some vertical blinds and I'm going to put them up after painting.

Then DH wanted to run to music store and of coarse I said thats right by Joanns yep I went back again and stocked up on solids because their on sale through tomorrow.

I'm waiting for coat of paint to dry.  Not doing any sewing tonight.

ER visit successful. No wheezing, now. But the headache from two days of mind banging coughing has left it 's mark. Got some Toradol for that. Has worn off, so, headache is back. Plus ,am shot full of Prednisone. That stuff is so bad for my body, but, what 'cha gonna do. Had bronchospasms due to smoke inhalation. The Doctor said, with my asthma, I should not go outside, anymore. Excuse me?? One can not NOT go outside ,ever. Besides my sister, and greatest shopping partner, is coming Weds and we will get our shopping shoes on the minute she gets here. Won't stop till she leaves Saturday week. Gee, the thought makes me so tired, right now. Had two breathing treatments back to back so am shaking like a leaf, too. Time for night night.
