I swore I was going to go to the LQS yesterday, but somehow I didn't get past the local casino, and after about 4 hours of chilling out, came out  with $1,000 more than I went in with.  Now I can really hit the LQS today.

Woo Hoo Karla. That's $1,000. more than I ever won. LOL

DD's BF commented that his sister (A year younger) is upset because she had to choose between going to prom and going on the quilt shop hop.Their Mom finally decided for her saying she'd bought the Dress, she was wearing the dress!!  Hmmm ....I think I need to Set Mom's priorities straight, and  get better aquainted with his sibling!

Yes indeed.

IS, you go girl!   Someone has to speak up for the patient.  It is intolerable to have him in such a situation.  The case manager for his care needs to get on the ball.  You might have to call the company directly to get action.   Speak up not only for the patient, but also for those that are caring for him.    Ginny

i got my snow fix for the week,  skiing was wonderful  a bluebird day.  i even got to ski a couple of runs with the grandkids today.   i can't beat wil down the hill anymore, but he was a bit surprised to find me right on his heels.  well perhaps i can beat him,  he was in a tuck and i was upright, i bet i could beat him if i was in my tuck.  it is just so danged hard to get in that position and stay there for more than a nanosecond these days.   wendy got a family picture, so it will be on facebook later today.

It is snowing like crazy at my house.   We have about 4 in and it is coming down hard.   Sky is really heavy and doesn't look like it is planning to stop anytime soon.   We got about an inch in less the 30 minutes.   Cars were sliding and in the ditches on our way home from the store.   We had one pass us like we were just sitting still.  The next thing we saw he was turning 360s in the middle of the road.   He sure slowed down after that.....LOL>

I woke up Saturday morning knowing I was going to FINNISH SOMETHING!  Well, my MQ2 is quilted and the binding sewed on.  Just the hand sewing left.  This is my snuggle quilt.  I found the minky, and then bought colors to match.  Green, pink, white and black.  I am not in love with the way the front came out, but it's for comfort, and warmth and not for looks.  (sour grapes.)  And besides that, as I was quilting in the ditch it became very obvious that many of my points and seams did not line up perfectly.  So it is mine!!!  And it matches nothing in the house.  In fact, if it was ever in a house that it matched, I would politely tell the owner, if asked my opinon, "that's interesting. . ."

Now for the rest of the day.  Got to clean house and get ready for some friends coming over for dinner in 3 hours.

Just finished dinner pork chops and garlic mashed potatoes.

Only woke once last night with cramping progress I call it.

Worked on nephews quilt backing and found to my dismay its not measuring up. thought I had measured right.  It could be calibration between the two machines used or I could've actually mismeasured.  I'll just have to improvise now.  Maybe I'll need to add 3rd border on back to measure up . not sure yet.

I seen from posts some are getting snow.  I seen gray clouds today but no snow.

Hope everybody had a great day tomorrow I have plumber coming to clean utility room drain.  Always something.

Yikes. We have more in our forecast but this weekend was free of precipitation. Very cold and windy though.

Karla, my friends introduced me to casinos about five years ago.  My biggest win was $40.00!   I usually make my donation when I go.  Hmmmm, maybe I need to check out how you play, find your secrets.  Wow! Imagine how much fabric I could buy!

oh yeah I forgot.  Congratulations on winning. I hope you will get fabric for a quilt for you.   Enjoy all the sewing moments you will get out of it.

Speaking of snow, DH and I went snowshoeing today.  I broke trail for about fifteen minutes out of the ninety we walked.  The rest was on snowmobile trails.  We saw so many deer tracks, and hare .  The weather was great.  Now DH decided not to wear his snowshoes so he sometimes sank about three feet in the snow....hihihi, it was very funny. A great day after finishing laundry and cleaning downstairs.  Tomorrow I will vacuum upstairs...after I finish my quilt.

sam needed to do a costco run in Coeur d'Alene this afternoon, so i tagged along and got my self dropped off at the quilt shop.   i had a great day, skiing in the moring and shopping in the afternoon, with a dinner date to boot.  headed home i asked if there were a scenic way home and sam drove us up on the rimrock.   we saw two herds of elk,  many deer, i stopped counting at 50, and it was a beautiful drive.

What to do now? What to do? My sewing machine started with issues about an hour into piecing a quilt this evening. Now, it is out of service. Goes to hospital tomorrow. Without it ,can't do post cards, either. So sad. Feel lost. and, I know it will be gone for awhile. The guy who repiars them is back up. Just great. oh, well, this is Holy Week, guess I will read the Bible and go to church every noon

Angele and Gini sounds like y'all have fun in the snow. My sister spends every weekend skiing at Breckenridge, CO. She lives in Boulder..

Guess I will go to bed. Just bored.
