Thanks everyone for the great words of comfort.  It really helps.  We're glad it was caught so early and with a bit of surgery, he'll be fine.  Now I can do some serious sewing without making all kinds of mistakes.  MQ #8 is all cut and ready for the next step to start sewing.  I've got several tops that need to be sandwiched for our guilds to donate to hospice and nursing home.  I'll be kept very busy for awhile.  I take my big pieces and zig-zag them together to make battings big enough for our charity quilts.  It makes good use of those large pieces.  I take smaller pieces and do that for the table runners or placemats or coasters.  I try not to waste too much of it since it is so expensive.  When the pieces just get too little, cut it up and stuff it into pillow ticking for our fur babies to enjoy or donate those pillows to vet or shelter for other fur babies to enjoy.

These cramps are persistent kept waking me up where i couldn't even stand right away and they were there before change in bp med  new med is losartan potasium I'm lucky I didn't break my leg trying to get the cramp to stop.   I slept on couch so i wouldn't disturb DH.  I'm going to buy a bottle of calcium vitamins today.  I almost called ems last night hope tonight is better.

last night i worked on nephews quilt so i am making progress I kind of feel like the the little engine that could .

FIL is out of hospital and now in nursing home BIL says its only temporary (2 weeks).

If I add vitamins and that doesn't help I'll be asking dr. if it is restlessleg syndrome  I just think being so sick and not eating right and being on meds my system is dehydrated and need to supplement nutrition.  I really don't want extra pounds trying to eat all the proper foods to help leg cramps.  Definitely no swimming for me now.  That is usually when leg cramps act up for me

My other nephew just came to visit and seen quilt top hanging that is for different nephew and he commented that he always likes the way i put the fabrics together in the quilts i make.   Bless his heart.  I can't wait til i have this one done who knows maybe by the time its done ther will be a contest to enter it in.

That cake is too cute to eat.

Does anyone know where Marge (Dimples) has gotten to? She hasn't been on here for quite awhile.

I swore I was going to go to the LQS yesterday, but somehow I didn't get past the local casino, and after about 4 hours of chilling out, came out  with $1,000 more than I went in with.  Now I can really hit the LQS today.  I'm putting a lot of it into the safe for the, Oregon Retreat, but I'll still have some I can spend today.  That is if I can find a way to the LQS that doesn't pass the casino.

I am having a good day.  I got my hair washed this morning with my shower and fixed it some.  We gort the laundry done ( Hubby ran the washer and dryer & I sat and folded) we also got the dishes washed - not put away but nobody cares.  I watched ice skating on tv and am just resting this afternoon.

i too have had a lot of problems with leg cramps.  I found a couple of things that I tried that helped relieve them once they started.  I would gently rub them with "mineral Ice" and then wrap them with one of those fleece throws.  I generally tuck a fleece throw in my bed at night now so it is there if I feel a cramp coming on.  I too take calcium with magnesium and zinc and try to eat bananas.  It always seems like when they occur I am always thirsty.  If I have carmp, I try to have water nearby to  drink right away. Oh boy do they hurt sometimes.  Every little thing that helps is worth a try.

LOL - you are the luckiest person I know!  Yes, be sure and put some of those winnings aside for the Oregon retreat.  You will find casino's there too! :-)  Good luck on finding a way to the LQS that doesn't go by the casino.  Was that the same one we had breakfast at last year?

Lee just asked me if I wanted to hit Reno this year and then bo up to Boise to see my relatives.  He said we need to get it worked out.  heck, i have been dumping all the email notices from the casinos so guess I need to start looking at them.  If we do, will let you know so we can go out and have breakfast again and hopefully Sonny will join us.

Off to take some pictures of the latest dyeing projects and perhaps see if I can get another batch going.  It did not snow last night= DARN IT!

No, it was a different casino just down the road into town a bit.  I'm not always lucky, but just had a feeling yesterday.  And yes, please let me know if you get this way again, and Sonny and I will treat you two to breakfast.  I'll make sure he comes along...

Well I spent most of the afternoon cleaning my little boys room, not what I had planned or wanted to do but dh is in a cleaning mode so he dragged me along.  Gonna go organize the toddler's room and then maybe after supper I can go start cutting material for MQ8. Hubby can clean all he wants tomorrow after Mass, I am quilting. LOL

I've recuperated, but Sonny is still complaining about his back after all the time sitting in the car.  But, he has resigned himself to the fact that he is going to Oregon in October!  I think he enjoyed the trip, even if he won't admit it.  He is always a pessimist so it doesn't surprise me in the least that he won't admit to enjoying himself, that's just the way he is and has been since his return from VietNam 40+ years ago.

Gini, I bought my supplies for hand-turned applique (yes I made past the casino) and the fabric to finish at least 2 of the quilts from Branson.  I bought enough fabric to embroider more flower squares, and I bought the supplies for trying my hand at making a chenille quilt.  Since I have so many to finish, the chenille project might just be saved for the Oregon Coast.

It's prom night. The kids just headed out the door for their date. DD's BF commented that his sister (A year younger) is upset because she had to choose between going to prom and going on the quilt shop hop.Their Mom finally decided for her saying she'd bought the Dress, she was wearing the dress!!  Hmmm ....I think I need to Set Mom's priorities straight, and  get better aquainted with his sibling!

Today DH drove me back to Joann's for finishing touch stuff then i went with him to see FIL situation is better and worse. better because Fil actually looked coherent / worse because of smells and this is the biggie person that was like salesmen initially spoke with BIL had said to him we will have air mattress here for your Father LIE they didn't have one waiting for him ... here comes the return of bed sores to combat, then the bed looks adequate for 5' person which FIL is not then on top of that they said the bed isn't equipped for bedrails!!!!  I told BIL to start squawking  ... A nurse came in for routine updates and I initialized the conversation by speaking of the problems and i told her this pt. needs air matress stat to work on it with whomever did inital interveiw.  They will be so lucky if my FIL doesn't fall out of bed and break hip.  Not to mention comfort for patient.  Guess my dander is up again.

Also I did pick up centrum and caltrate 600D.

Pearl you gave me an idea I'm going to make myself fleece leg warmers.

Also DH and I stopped by thrift book shop and I got 2 quilt books BHAG quilt Lovers Favorites and Celtic Quilts.  Been a long day tuckered out.
