Marie

Your skunk odor remover should work perfectly.  Peroxide breaks down protein, Dawn breaks down oils, and baking soda neutralizes odors.   Skunk spray is comprised of protein and oils.  Luckily I have never had to deal with a sprayed dog but this should work really well.

Pray that is a recipe that I never have to try, Marie.

The chicks made it through their first night in the coop. We had trouble gettin the boys out the door for school since they were happy with the new babies.

Got behind on my egg use this week so am making an angel food cake and custard. Bossman has a birthday in a few days so the cake will find a good home in short order.

Just found out that my babysitter for dance class had to go out of state so now I am scrambling to find  a sitter for tomorrow night. As bad as my joints/back ache this week, maybe I'll just skip jiggling my thang for one class... "got a good excuse. Might just use it.

Marie, lots of hugs going out to you today.  I understand family problems.  Hope things work out soon for your family.  God will take care of you.  Sometimes we think He isn't there or listening but He is always there for us.

Hi everyone, Is sorry I'm not getting the msg. to start a new msg. anywhere so only way I know is to do a reply to someone.  We got back from my mom's funeral last night it was in W.Va.  We had a viewing here in Md. on Sat. drove down to W.Va on Sun. and funeral on Mon.  today I was on the phone a very long waiting time for Social Sec. and Ins. companies to report mom's passing.  Also stopped by the funeral home to pick up certificates.  Early this am went with DH to visit hospital for a guy having a procedure today.  I thought I was just going to rest today.  NOT.  Jumped on here while on hold with SS.  Thought why waste my time.  So I was catching up a bit.  Thank you Is for asking about how I am doing.  Just sort of numb at times.  Everyone at the viewing said my mom would be proud of me.  I thought I held up pretty good.  Lots of cousins, relatives and old friends there.  Shame it has to be in times like that because you can't remember much later.  My DD has been a blessing to us.  She flew in on Fri. from Ohio to help.  Drove most of the way to W.Va.  Which I might add best time we have every made that trip  (We affectionately call her Lead Foot Anne.  ha  Thank you for all the hugs and wishes you sent my way.  They meant a lot even if we have never met face to face.

   Have a nice day.

Joyce

Marie, thank you for your fool-proof skunk odor recipe!  We have a dog who seems to have a run in with a skunk every couple of years.  (Guess she forgets by then what the results are...LOL!)  I've used the peroxide and baking soda without the dawn detergent...without much success. (It helped, but there still was some odor.)  So, I am printing and keeping your recipe for the "next time"...which is sadly inevitable!

Wish me luck and I sincerely hope it works!!!

Joyce, thank you, you are right as well as everyone else who responded.  I got an email this morning with this quote:  "Live simply.  Love generously.  Care deeply.  Speak kindly.  Leave the rest to God." "Worrying does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES; it takes away today's PEACE."  I love this!  I will make it my mantra every day.  I'm feeling so much stronger today, thanks to all!

Donna you are welcome and it really does work, my son has been using this recipe forever with results.  Hope you don't have to use it but it's there if you do.  Make sure you use Dawn, it won't work without that.

Had my testing today and back on my meds.  Don't feel so good, haven't slept well for about 10 nights now. Don't know how I was sleeping last night, but hurt a rib. Been nauseous all day. Any way the test results were all negative. But during the testing the doctor saw me having a full body tremor and my speech halting. So next is an EEG. The doctor says these are definately symptoms resulting from the accident but doesn't know why they are happening. Even the specialist neurologist didn't have an answer. I should better after being back on meds in a few days.

I was trying to catch up with everyone but my eyes hurt too much to go back to far.

Marie, we love you and never be afraid to come to us..

Something about a fire in Pigeon Forge. I pray it doesn't get worse.

I apologize to everyone else. But know I care, but right now I just need my jammies and something to quiet my tummy and stop my head and rib from hurting. And Indy said he needs outside first. I'll try to catch up in a couple days.  hugs.

MNnancy:

Debbie-do:
when I saw a piece of fabric with the store label on it identifying it as coming from Brainerd MN!  It looked like it was hand dyed.

That's Cherrywood!  It's beautiful fabric, and yes, hand-dyed with deep rich colors.  They have quilting cotton as well as some fabrics best used for apparel.  They don't have a physical store front locally, but one of the quilt shops in town has a large display area dedicated to Cherrywood, and they do now sell online.

Nancy I loveCherrywood fabrics! They are so soft. I bought a kit a few years back and need to finish quilting it...one of my UFOs their colors blend so well. I just love them!

Dawn:

DD's removal of stent and stone went fantastic!  She is home and resting.  Will take the babies back to her and her DH after naptime.  Which is soon.  For them and this tired Grammy.  I kept waking up every 2 hours last night, almost to the minute.  Made me crazy!  Finally, stayed awake for the most part at 4:35 . . .

Glad to hear DD is doing fine. I hope you got a well deserved rest after.  There is a reaso we are called grandmothers....it is to love and spoil grands and then send them home!!!  Hihihi.
