Dawn: Good Grief that wind is so bad thought the siding was going to peal off! Trying to decide if I want to go out there, need to renew drivers license. yay. But then I was going to go to Joann's to spend my b.day money. My Mom gave me my present early. :-) DH and I were going to head to Des Moines on Friday, but now they are talking 20" of that white stuff, and there is no way I wanna be driving interstate 80 in the middle of a snow storm. It is notorious for lots of accidents. Oh well, still have time to decide, like all day. :-)

Love Iowa! I was born in Ames.
Nancy, that is wild about the poor farmer loosing his bales of hay! I saw some loaves of bread on the road, thinking a bread truck lost some inventory.
Christine, I was born and raised here and don't plan on leaving. I love the weather changes, even if it does make me crazy sometimes. I get bored otherwise. LOL
Almost blew away! Spent 1 1/2 hours at the DMV and forgot my kindle to boot. Then went to Joann's, came home w/nothing. :-/ Oh well, thinking I can shop online .. . will be warmer that way!
Nancy, I will keep listening to the weather and let you know what they are saying. I pray you get to escape to warmer weather for a bit at least.
We got about 10 inches of snow between Sunday afternoon till late Monday am. The plow came three times and each time left a great amount of snow in our driveway...even too high to walk through it...today it's too cold for the kids to go out for recess. It is -31 with the windchill. But the sun is wonderful!!
Angèle from NWO
Angele, Wow! That is a lot of snow and way too cold!
We are now under a winter storm watch. 5-7inches. There goes my b.day weekend. :-( Oh well, something to look forward to later.
Nancy, Des Moines is under the same watch, starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday till 12 p.m. Friday. 6-10 inches there. :-(
Angele, where are you???????
Bonner Springs, Kansas
Busy AM Here. The day started with DD insisting she was sick and dieing. It didin't take an einstein to figure out that all that ailed her was low blood sugar (Skipping breakfast will do that to ya!) and PMS. I made her eat something, gave her a motrin, and carted her sorry Butt to school...Had to take Sprout for his weigh in first thing, and as luck would have it the clinic is right next door to the high school so that was too easy. She only missed part of 1st period.
The Boss guys asked me to stop in for a minute on my way home. ... and we're just now getting home. That was a lo-ong minute. It was an interesting one, tho-- we were sorting and catigorizing bones from a big, very jumbled up sight. So now the duck bill bones are with the duck bills and the tyranosaur bones are with the tyranosaurs - or as BS1 said "The feast-ees are finally free of the feast-ers!"
Sprout was a terror through it all. He got into everything in his reach. I told the guys thats what they can expect when he hasn't had his cereal in the morning... It serves 'em right for keeping a baby from his food! They got even by giving him a very noisy toy... Thank Goodness for nap-time!!!!!
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
Oh gosh - the cleaning bug bit me today! I actually cleaned and reorganized all the drawers and shelves (but not stash shelves) in my sewing room. It looks much better, but I really should refold all the fabric in the stash, too.
It helped that I've been packing for retreat. That gave me a little more room to move around in my small space.
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
If I send you my address would you come and clean and organize mine? PLEASE???
I definitely spoke too soon ... temp. is plummeting. sewed alittle and ran errands.
Quilting My Rainbow
Well, I got the baby's quilt posted finally, but it left no room for a note on that screen. LOL Ginny
chocake2, your post are funny talking about Sprout How old is he? Sounds like a typical baby. Takes a lot of energy to keep up with a little one. I don't do well without my cereal either. ha
