Well, I've had a busy day frogging, adding another border to make the baby's quilt 10" bigger on all sides, and making the sandwich so it's ready for quilting.  HELP!  How would you quilt it?

Here is our DGD3!  First pic is us making pizza, she got the hang of spreading that crust pretty well!  Then this is her artwork she created!  She will be 4 next month!

Marie  I'd probably quilt diagonal center then cross hatch light blue border.

Dawn that is the best kind of quaility time with DGD3 She sure looked like she was enjoying every second as I'm sure you were.

Marie

I would probably just do an allover meander.   Maybe do small stippling around the characters in the bigger blocks.

Dawn, She is a doll.  I know she makes you very happy.  She did a good job on her art work.    Ginny

Marie,  Your baby quilt is so darned cute.   If the quilt were mine I would do a diagonal along the windmill lines in the center just one way, then stitch along the inside off the dark blue and outside the red border.  I think I would do an all over meander in the light blue print and then a line between that border and the outside border.   That is what this gal can come up with.   Good luck on whatever you choose.   Ginny

Thanks everyone!  She is a doll and a goofy girl.  :-)  I dropped her off yesterday before my dentist appt. and then came back for a bit and asked her if she was ready to go back to my house.  Boy you could have heard a pin drop!  She was so quiet and didn't know what to say!  I finally said, just teasing!  She was very relieved!!!  She loves coming here but she was NOT ready to come back just yet!  Her sister is coming when she has spring break.  She is driving DD nuts asking, how many more days till spring break?  Heehee!  Love my babies!

...but the deer are finding little shoots of grass coming up and are having a feast (small, but at least it is green)....the more warm weather we have, the sooner the ground will warm up and we will start losing trails.

Interesting that even near the Cascade Mountains of Washington, spring comes sooner than in Minnesota.  If April looks and feels like spring here, we feel fortunate.  Trees won't leaf out until May, and I don't dare plant annuals until Memorial Day.

I'm retired.  Why do I live in Minnesota?

Beautiful flowers, Max, and what an interesting growing cycle.

Happy Valentine's Day, Friends!

I feel confident in saying that did not come from your garden, CC!  Not when daffodils are just coming up at Leslie's and your climate is more like mine.  Happy V-day back to you!  DH just suggested dinner out tonight.  I'm all for it even though dining choices are pretty limited in our small town.

Is, Nana, and Ginny, thanks for your suggestions.  Will ponder it for awhile and see what clicks.

Another question, do you always SID your quilts first to anchor?

Here is pic of my Naked Ladies ( sometimes called Surprise Lilies) from last year.  The leaves come up in the spring, then die back. Later in the year, late August around here, the bloom stalk shoots up and blooms.  Ours are about 20 inches tall when they bloom. The only color I've seen them in is the pale pink.

Max, i have never seen any but the pink either.    My Mom always called them naked ladies,  I have never heard their real name
