Congratulations on the new baby Ginny. Babies are just wonderful. That will be a fun quilt to work on.
Today I did my usual trip to the nursing home to stay with mom for a while. She was alert today. I fed her lunch also took her a slice of pumpkin pie. She is allowed to eat the filling but not the crust. Her roommate watched her eat a slice yesterday so I took her a slice today also. (I did ask the staff 1st). Both ladies enjoyed the pie. Mom wanted to get up as usual and can't. She almost fell out of her chair and scared me to bits. I told her she can't get up and she screamed at me Why Not, why can't I get up. She screamed so loud that my ears were ringing. I told her because you will fall. I had been there a couple of hours and then I took her to the nurses desk and told them I was leaving. I dread tomorrow as we are taking her to see a urologist. I told the staff I can't lift her because of my back. They didn't make arrangements so were trying to find someone today that would come in and do it. So we will see if I have help. My DH is going with me but he can't do lifting either (he had heart surgery last fall). I sure hope she doesn't do the screaming thing in the drs. office. She has a cath in and I know she will scream when they mess with that.
I did quit a while tonight on my tent size quilt I started in 1999 and I hope to give to my son for Christmas. But DH saw it and said I like green. ha I did 2 squares of stitch in the ditch tonight. Little at a time is better than nothing.
Ginny and Tammy , great news on the new arrival and arrival to come . Can't wait to see pictures..
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
MNnancy:. My thinking is that since my leg is longer, I can probably handle it better than you.
and i'm thinkin' that since i beat you to the bubbly, those longer legs haven't done you one bit of good.

Ginny, congrats on that new baby boy! How's DGD doing?
ginny and tammy congrats on the new grandbabies.
MMM, love your projects
Had a late start to dentist then he didn't schedule long enough time slot so I will be returning in mar. because of so much going on now with FIL, and niece getting married soon. Didn't make it to ospital today as DH & I went to buy car. I have a really bad headache right now probably just from tension. At dealership I showed lady pictures of my quilts she might buy one from me. I'm hoping.
Ginny great news on baby!

Tammy, congrats on grand baby # 9! Prayers going up for your son with his prosthetic eye.
sam just asked me if i told you all about the bubbly at branson. when we were there before christmas, sam took the staff to brunch. there were about 20 of us. i love champagne. there were all these non-drinkers sitting next to me, and i kept borrowing/appropriating their bubbly. the pourer was a bit slow. before i knew it i had champagne flutes 5 wide and about 8 deep lined up in front of me. good grief. i did my best. the silly pourer came over with several / quite a few / well, many empties surrounding me and made an attempt to refill them all. that was one mighty fine brunch, but now sam's entire staff think i'm a lush.
Ginny, prayers going up for mom and baby. They'll both be fine.
Joyce, sorry about your moms outburst and hope tomorrows appt. is better. (((((HUGS)))))
Other people in house waiting to use computer so i guess I'm signing out for tonight.
LaJuan Sukochi Lee:Has anyone ever used Texture Magic or Floriani?? It is a technique we can use in post cards. I want to see if anyone is familiar with it before I purchase any.
Texture magic is very easy to use. You just stitch it to the fabric your using, steam it with your iron, and it shrinks before your eyes.
Here's a good YouTube video demonstrating it.
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
testure magic, the closer you stitch it, the more it crinkles. when i was making a tree trunk. i stitched it closer on the outside and wider on the inside. it made it curl into a limb shape.
