Ginny:WE HAVE A BABY BOY!
Congrats on the new grandbaby, Ginny!
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
Woke up to a new board. We sure are a talkative bunch LOL... I've been trying to get a few things finished this year, but here I am working on other new things.
this is what I finished this morning for Craftsy 2013 BOM and a challenge I found on Pat Sloan's blog from 15 Minutes:
Tea Towel challenge. I have 4 blocks done and planning to do a total of 12 and set them On Point.
Have a great week all!
Well, I just want to thank everyone for their congratulations on the latest edition to my collection of great-grandchildren. This is #8. Have seen pictures of him. Of course he is a doll, and yep, it's a boy. Please pray for him though, they had to put him in NICU because of breathing problems. Hopefully it is a passing thing. Ginny
Ginny, were the breathing problems expected? Or, was all fine and this just occurred?
Ginny:Well, still no success to post pictures online, but I have bigger news-WE HAVE A BABY BOY! All I know so far is that he weighs 7# 5 oz. Whooo hoo. Ginny
Woo Hoo! Congratulations. How is mom?
Just read about the baby's difficulties. Prayers going up.
Tammy: Need to start a baby quilt very, very soon. Grandbaby # 9 is due April 6th. It is a little girl so that makes the decisions easier to pick out materials.
Congrats on the pending new addition Tammy.
It's good to hear from you.
More crappy weather here. The roads are really messy. We had a few accident victims come in. I'm doing total body scans. I'm expecting it will get worse as it all starts to freeze.
Mom is waiting anxiously for the feeling to come back into her legs and feet. I guess the NICU placement is to keep closer check on the baby all around. His blood sugar was low after delivery, which is rather typical for a baby born to a diabetic. But I am glad he is there where they will keep a closer eye on him. Thanks for prayers. Ginny
Well he was born at 36 weeks so I guess they want to watch him pretty close and also because Mom is diabetic and his sugars dropped, which is typical. Giny
Thank you Leslie. Ginny
Thanks, MNnancy. Ginny
Thank you, Tammy. You said that your son has to get anew prosthetic eye. My son lost his left eye years ago in a fireworks explosion, but he is unable to use a prothetic eye as most of the tear duct was destroyed to the point there is not enough lubrication and it just caused irritation and pain. So he doesnt have that opportunity left to him.. I don't know what your son's background was for needing a prosthetic but just be grateful he is able to use one. Ginny
Tammy congrats on your happy news as well.
Ginny, praying for baby and mama.
Has anyone ever used Texture Magic or Floriani?? It is a technique we can use in post cards. I want to see if anyone is familiar with it before I purchase any. From what I can figure out, it is a fabric that shrinks 30% and puckers when washed or steamed.
