Karla, cute purse and I love the chickens!
Cute chickens, Karla! It looks like they are singing in unison. Is that a price tag I see on one? If so, what price are you finding works well? I'm thinking about our church bazaar and wondering if $8.00 would be too much.
ls2116, they are pincushions.

My oldest grandson wants to try to sell them at a craft faire...along with the survival bracelets he makes. The next craft faire at the school isn't until November so I should be able to make him several more as the mood strikes me.

The price tag he put on the first one I made for him was $10 which I think is a fair price since the crushed walnut shells inside of him cost me about $3.50 at my LQS. I've just ordered a 50# bag online and if they prove be ground just as fine as these, the price may come down. He plans on sticking pins in them so everyone will know what they are.
I'm still searching for the pattern one that i'm remembering now is actually a dresden that isn't a star but i've got it my eq7 somewhere that i don't know the name for block. the other is a star that looks like its completely made from diamond shapes, but it looks most challenging.
Thanks everyone! Karla, I also love your chickens, and I think $10 is fair price.
I just found one like what i was talking about in show and tell its called lone star it just reminded me of a circle in center because it is done in rings of color.
Grams:I actually managed to finish a quilt!
Very nice, love your colors.
Grams, I love your pinwheel quilt
karla that is quite the flock. I think $10 is a fair price.

I don't think I'll need any ground walnut shells for the rest of my life...do you have any idea how big that 50# bag of shells is? The poor UPS driver carried it into the house for me, thank goodness, as I wouldn't have gotten it in by myself. Sonny had to carry it into the quasi sewing/storage room. I think I might just have to let him use some for cleaning the brass when he does his reloading. They sure were a lot cheaper than buying them at the LQS, even with the shipping from Canada.
Well my DD is all moved out. I made her a small quilt to lay on the couch and watch TV with (since she only gave me a 1 1/2 week notice she was moving out) It took her two weekends to move since since she did not rent a truck to do this, just had her BF help her. Here is a pic of the quilt and then a close up of the blocks to get a better view. I just tied this one off instead of machine quilting, but it looks just as nice.
