This was made from a pack of charm squares I

Judy, how big is your very pretty charm square quilt?  I have so many charm packs just sitting there waiting to become quilts and I love this idea, simple but quick and also beautiful!  I love your layout!

Thanks Marie. I left the charms whole, 5" square. I didn't want to cut them up. I offset the sashing so they wouldn't be lined up in even rows.

Marie, I'll have to measure it exactly when I get home but I think it came out about 48 x 60.

I made an e-book cover today for practice.  It matches the large bag I made the other day...made it from scraps.   I didn't do a very good job on it, think the fusible interfacing I used was a little too heavy as it was awfully hard to turn the small pieces right side out.

Judy!

Love your charm pack quilt, it is so springlike and refreshing!  You've inspired me to consider doing one, perhaps this year.  But first I must come up with a charm pack, I haven't been in a quilt shop in months, just can't go into one without purchasing more than my budget can afford.

Karla, I think it is adorable. It was your first try, who cares if it wasn't perfect. I think it still looks great. Nice colors too.

Karla, really nice eBook cover. I love your use of buttons. I have a shoe box full of vintage buttons but don't dig into it very often.

I finally finished my mq8, but i think its so pretty I want to keep going on it and do more stitching I guess you all call that the real quilting.  I'll post a picture in the morning.  Thank you Nana again.

Today I'm making chickens...DGS1 bought me some charm squares for Mother's Day and requested that I use them to make the chicken pin cushions.  So far today I have made 2.  You know if you do then all at once they aren't so darn confusing...the second one only took me about 15 minutes to make.

LEAVENWORTH LADIES  I finally finished my row quilt.  I LOVE it.  Thanks to MN Nancy, Nana, Patti and Donna for the beautiful rows.  I was so exhausted after the retreat that I did not start quilting again until April.  Since the first of April I have finished 5 UFO's only two more to go.

Karla I love this.  Where did you get the pattern?

Here is another UFO that was started at the Leavenworth retreat.  I finished it two days ago.  It was my first time using a Pantograph on my long arm.  Sorry I waited so long it was so easy.  The pattern is from the Spring 2012 issue of Easy Quilts.
