Darling pattern, Judy and I like Donna B's suggestion of the grass.

Jacy, no, you aren't the only one who gets distracted and jumps into something new.  I look around my sewing room and see all the partially finished projects and just shake my head.  What is a gal to do but go with the flow?  If I lived to 150 and was in the shape I am in now, I may have a chance of finishing all my many, many projects.

Judy

This is going to be really adorable.  And I constantly start new stuff instead of finishing other stuff....LOL>   That is why I have more UFOs than I can count.

Oh,Judy,  You make me feel so much better about my UFO I started working on them this weekend only to get sidetracked  with something else.

I made 2 baby blankets one with satin binding using a blanket stitch, it came out ok for the first time. I liked the look and will try it again. Also made a baby flannel quilt, just need to stitch the binding on. A girl I work with DS and DDIL are adopting  their newborn nephew and bringing him home tomorrow . As it was kind of unexpected and they have three older school age children, they will appreciate these blankets and quilt.  Good night everyone!                   Susan

Hi All, I have a question? I have been working on finishing the log cabin baby quilt, and need to know if you put the label on the lower right hand corner or left hand corner on the back. I think it should go on the right. That way when you have the front facing you, you'd flip over the left bottom corner to see it. A'm I right or not.

I can't imagine why there would be a right or wrong to where the label goes.  Is there a standard for quilt shows?  For a gift, it shouldn't matter.  (IMHO)

I agree, put it anywhere you want it.  In my case, I sometimes use it to cover up little boo boos on the back side.

Weezee I think if you can put your label anywhere you would like to. After all it's your quilt until you give it away...lol

I'd like to thank everyone who answered my label question. I didn't know if there was a designed place to put the label.  I finished my quilt even the label. Here it is. Thank you all about the piano border too. If you look really close I put a pink 1" border on all 4 sides. The piano border is only on the sides not top and bottom. I needed the extra length on the width only. I even took one of the label. I tried to FMQ a heart in the center of the log cabin. I really bad at FMQ, sooo I made some little hearts and appliqued them on.

Weezee, your quilt looks great. I love the idea of appliqués hearts in the log cabins. Also your pink border and piano keys on the sides gives it the  personal touch. It says that it is all yours.  Great work.

No I didn't work on a quilt today, but I did make a cute little purse.  Here's a picture of it.  It was my first try at using grommets, and although they are not hard to install, it is a bit scary when you have to cut that circle out of your almost finished project.

Karla, really cute purse. The bright yellow button is a perfect touch.
