Yes, that is a much better picture. When I do piano key I have a narrow inner border separating it from the rest of the quilt.
Weezee, I really like the piano border. But I'm wondering if you need a narrow barrier border between the quilt and the piano border.Perhaps with the light fabric in the blocks.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Patricia, love your tee shirt quilt
I LOVE your log cabin. I do like the green borer better as it lets the quilt sing.
Weezee, I like the piano keys best for a baby quilt, but there's nothing to say you can't do both. The green first, then the piano keys around the outside, if you have enough fabric. It's a great job so far.
Marge P:I finished the bindings on a couple of the Mini quilts. Here is a picture of the April, May and June mini quilts. Temporarily I am caught up :-)
Very nice Marge. I have my pieces cut for May but haven't sewn it. Hopefully this weekend.
Agnes:I will share my mug rugs. I still have five more to finish.
Pretty mug rugs Agnes.
Elizabeth:Woo Hoo I got my pinwheel quilt finished.
Elizabeth:I got another UFO finished for Quilt of Valor.
Nice work Elizabeth. I like them both.
Patricia Faye:I finished up the tee-shirt quilt for my 9 yr old nephew for his birthday.
Well done Patricia.
I've been raking my brain trying to figure how I'm finishing up my mq8 my corners aren't doing what i thought would work . posted pic in mq8 . Maybe I should just do a big triangle overlay. I'm just not good at cornerstones but I do want to complete this quilt. I guess to morrows another day and maybe the solution will come to me.
Quilting My Rainbow
Weezee your quilt looks great. I like the piano keys.
Vivian :I am waiting for the quilt police to come and beat me about the head and shoulders.
Then send them my way, Vivian. I'm probably worse off than you. You made me chuckle with your very funny comment.
DS is getting married next june, i want to do a wedding quilt in place of a guest book. I will eventually make their bridal photo in the center. I am purchasing accuquilt signature die, and figured on preparing the blocks with freezer paper, also encouraging people to write things for the bride and groom. But i am not sure how to lay this out on a table..any hints?? I was thinking of posting an engagement portrait on table with instructions printed on poster board. Any other suggestipns would be appreciative plus her colors are tangerine and peacock blue, and not quite how to incorporate them. The guest list is supposedly 100. But not positive what size i will make it. This is the one and only suggestion that the bride to be has liked from me so i need this to work out good.
Weeze, your baby quilt is so pretty. I love how the pink and black play together! Very nice!
I am down to hand sewing the binding down on my DIL's quilt. I am not very fast but am hoping to be finished early next week. We shall see.
I have my DSis queen size quilt finished and the binding is ready to go on as soon as its back from the long armer. WAHOO ! I started this project in February and wanted it for her Birthday in April, oh, well, better late than never. It was a frustrating, and expensive lesson learned. Now I am going to work on UFOs. Susan
