Max, another wonderful quilt. The textures will be very soothing to her.

I did some quilting today. Finished up the last border on the RR and made one block for the MQ8. I see some frogging in my future.

YEA!  My machines were transferred from the cabin to the new house yesterday.  Today we bought over the cabinets, cutting table, workstation, notions and lots of fabric and stabilizers.  Tomorrow the thread racks and my studio is all located in one place again -- where I can actually open a cabinet and work.  I am much closer to having a working space to sew -- after nearly two years in transition.

I did not actually work on a quilt today, but I handled a lot of quilt fabric and batting in the moving process.

I actually did MQ8 virtually all day...I just need to decide on borders now.  Tomorrow it's probably back to frogging.

Max, this is a great quilt, especially for the lady you describe.  You just make me proud to know you' even if it is through the internet.      Ginny

Is, I don't know about bunnies eating the tulips, but deer certainly like the flowers, if you have any of those in your area.  That is th only thing I have found  that ate mine.     Ginny

Ginny, Sprinkle Hot chilli flakes around the flowers and the rabbits and deer will stop eating them, in fact all the animals will leave them alone. It was the only thing I could come up with that finally let my flowers grow and look nice at the same time.

MNNancy, I did go to Creations in Kerrville.  It was wonderful! I hadn't been to a retreat before and really loved this one. And loved the instructor. Debbie was great. Learned so much in such a short period of time.

Posting from the phone so the pic is sideways. Sorry about that. Still at our Texas quilting retreat this weekend. Loving making new quitting friends. Was able to finish the back of the Debbie Maddy quilt I made last weekend and a tumbler quilt I had almost finished when we were traveling in the RV 3 weeks ago. I finishe the backing for the tumbler quilt yesterday also and started my next one, a Churn dash, the first time I've made this pattern. Here's a quick pic of the tumbler on the design wall.

You all are so productive.  Quiltless your new sewing room is gong to be spectaluar.  I got the QOV #2 off the long arm and have binding sewn on one side.   The pinwheel quilt I designed on the long arnm and half done.  Got the back made for Leavenworth row quilt it is now sandwiched and pinned ready to quilt on Miss Bernina.  Finished the heart quilt and got backing cut, just need to sew it together.  Got binding made for row quilt and pinwheel quilt.  That was my sewing week in a nutshell.  My horse is back for the summer.  I am playing nurse for the new owner while he recovers from and i.njury so go out 3 times to care for him.

when the deer got into our garden we installed two motion sensor sprinklers one on each side of the garden.  when the deer tried to take a nibble, the sprinkler activated and scared them right out. worked like a charm
