Wow miss a week and I definitely missed a lot.  What beautiful work I have seen.  Vivian, Karla, Brigit-Carol, Michelle, Weezee, Julienne, Marge, Debbie, Ibuildaquilt, Elaine, and Elizabeth, whew I think I got everyone., the work is beautiful.  There were so many I'm sorry to lump it all in one but you would have found it very repetitive.

Elaine your sunset is so rich in colors, you did an amazin job in choosing your colors and then putting it together.

I finally finished my mother's quilt top.  Now I have all these scraps so I'm going to make it reversible with my own design on the back.  I'm also going tomorrow to pick up the Janome 1600Pwith PC quilter and Grace frame I found on EBay.  It's going to be a full day of driving, but worth it.  I'm so excited!!!!  Now I can my UFO's done while I'm working on my current project.

I'm sort-of working on a quilt.  I'm busy this weekend packing for a local quilt retreat Monday through Thursday.  I'll take my Branson quilt to finish, MQ8 to finish, and a polka dot pinwheel baby quilt that is cut out but not started.  There will be sixteen of us staying at a retreat house in the woods.  I'm going to teach them how to play Left-Right-Center for fabric charms!

Gerie, I just came from your gallery and all I can say is WOW!  Your BOM 2010 are beautiful!

I love your small quilt to honor the coronation of your King.  Will you display it inside or out?

I worked on MQ8 for a while today, it was a welcome relief to be sewing instead of frogging, although I had to do a little frogging on this one, too.  I've done quilts on point before, but I guess I got a little confused so I had to take one of the rows partially apart.  Oh well, it certainly wasn't as bad as the quilting i'm having to frog on the other one.  Maybe I'll get it done one of these days if I can just get the yard work all caught up.

Thanks Vivian.  So good to see you posting again.  And you've been a busy bee, sewing away.  Love your quilts.  WTG.

Always amazed at what wonderful quilts are being done!  Elaine, love your sunset!

I have finally finished my textured lap quilt. Four days just getting the binding on. All it needs now is a trip through the washing machine.  This is the lap quilt that will be donated to a vision-impaired lady with alzheimer's disease.  She can see a little bit, so I used bright contrasting colors so she can enjoy them.  Each block center has a different 'texture'...prairie points, ruffles, pintucks, smocking, etc.  If you click on the pic it will enlarge so you can see the blocks better.

I got the idea for this quilt from a blog I follow.  The project she was working on used over twenty different patterns. Some of them are hand done (smocking) and folded flowers, so I didn't try them. My hands argue when I ask them to do some things. You can find the tutorials on the facebook page "TeresaDownUnder".  She has lots of really neat projects, and her directions are easy to follow.

Hope you all have a wonderful quilty weekend!    Max

Another beauty, Max, and those textures will calm someone's fingers, I'm sure!

I'm gonna start working on mq8 again as house is quiet.  My tulips that I have planted must be multiplying I have so many buds.  Then my neighbor called me and told me how beautiful hers was, until today when all the buds were gone she is accusing a wild bunny.  I hope it stays away from mine.
