Here is a picture of the Log Cabin Quilt I've been working on this week.  It has undergone metamorphosis from the original plan, but I think I'm happy with it.  I was planning on another one or two borders, but I may just leave it as it is.  It currently measures about 55 X 70.  It is destined to be a gift for the TaeKwanDo instructor that puts up with my 3 grandsons.

And this is a picture of my embroidered corner posts.

I think that Kaci likes it...she wouldn't stay out of the picture.  She just kept sniffing it.

Isn't  that the truth, MNnancy.  Back then it was an appropriate gift.   Of course gifts were much more reasonable in price then.   Now some of the gifts we got for wedding gifts wouldn't even be thought appropriate for shower gifts.    Ginny

Well Sophie's quilt is done, delivered, and appreciated. It took a while. Onward to the UFO pile.

This Sophie quilt is about smallish twin size. The back is an organic cotton twin top sheet, and some was trimmed off. Sophie and the cat are liking it a lot.

I tell you what, that cotton sateen whatever stuff is trickly to sew with, by hand where you take some time and fumble around with it. It will ravel, slip and slide, and nearly drove me to drinkin strong black coffee.

MNnancy:
Can you imagine what a young woman today would say if she received an ironing board as a wedding present!!  LOL

Gosh, well as long as there are quilters, we will never see ironing boards on face book with "like if you know what this is."

I like the ironing board that hangs on the back (or front) of a door, they need better bracing.  But great for those of us needing as much space as possible in our small sewing areas.
