So here is the hat.  Reversible of course.  The not flat brim means it is easy to adjust to whatever amount of bend I like.  Brim up, brim down.  The interfacing helps it hold it's shape much better too.

Oops, I meant to show it reversed as well.  Just a minute.

Here it is reversed.  It  sits well on the sauce pan doesn't it?  See that fabric in back?  I am getting ready to cut out some overalls I intended on doing a couple years ago.

I really like the hat and the floral fabric just sets it off.  One of these days I may have to start wearing a hat, but right now they just drive me crazy.  I guess it is something I will have to get used to...shouldn't spend so much time in the sun without one.

That hat is cute, Patti, but I truly like the first style better.  Ginny

Patti,  Another great hat design!  I think I like your latest one best. I like the way the brim can stay up if you want. That style would probably work for a lot of people since you made the brim adjustable.

These colors are wonderful on you, too!

Thanks everyone for the compliments.  I am going to revise my first pattern once more, to incorporate some of the things I learned with this hat.  I'd like that first one to fit a little better and not fly off at the slightest breeze.  And I think there is a step I can take out that will make it easier too.

Elizabeth:

weird Judy, I have IE 10 and could not log on today, changed to google crome and could??????  anyway just glad I can get back on.

Elizabeth and Judy, I also have IE 10 and it usually doesn't have too many problems, but today I responded to a PM and Explorer told me it couldn't complete the task for me - - - - - when I checked this site, the PM had gone through with out problems.  This time Explorer, not QCA was the problem.  It is no fun when both are causing problems.  I believe hackers out there are causing all the problems.  They can do whatever they want and foul things up for the rest of us!  Explorer has been failing constantly for me lately, but recovers itself, where QCA doesn't have that capability.  I don't know how many times this week I have had the message that Explorer has stopped working and will restart.

I have not upgraded to IE 10 yet for the reasons you state above, in spite of being nagged daily to do so.  I've heard all kinds of horror stories from folks about it.  I usually wait for several months after a new edition comes out before upgrading to allow them to work out the bugs and to allow sites time to adjust their settings to the new ugrade.

Marsha-SM:

... I   I got Chrome because Craftsy said their videos would work better on that browser.  The do download faster and I can watch at least a sentence or more per download instead of half a word!!!  I get tired of watching videos when they stop and download with everyone's mouth open mid-word!  They still are difficult to watch, but I can at least get a idea of what they are trying to teach!

I was having the same difficulty with Craftsy videos until I learned how to turn off the HD.  Now I can watch them with very little or no buffering.

Patti -- wonderful hat.  But the colours are so subdued -- have you thought of making it brighter?  <grin>

I like floppy brims so I hope you will also keep that style.  Will you be selling your pattern once you get the kinks ironed out?  I'll be first in line to buy one if you do.
