I guess if I did some sewing it would help to distract the way I'm feeling right now, but honestly I don't know if I could sew a straight line right now I'm so upset.

Christine,  I love your table topper.  What is the pattern.  I have worked with the same fabric in a charm pack and just love it.

I sewed all my strips for MQ8 on Friday, spent the day with two wonderful friends yesterday, and then today I cleaned, visited with friends, went for a nice long walk with DH and sewing the binding on my mom's quilt. Almost done.. Tomorrow is fabric shopping and hopefully work on a UFO as I didn't for the last two months.

Sunday night I did some sewing on a snails trail for DD2, I have decided to give all my kids (3) and 1almost DSIL quilts for Christmas this year. MQ8 will be DSIL's I'm going to make it larger by extra borders. I purchased extra fabric just for that reason. DD1 will have a snails trail, her top is already together, needs quilting. DS is the one I'm not sure of, he is very picky, just like his Dad.

I'm on call this weekend so I couldn't venture too far from the house. I wanted to sew but none of my projects spoke to me today so I decided to work on a pillow. Originally I planned to just use up old scraps and make this for the cats since their old one is ratty and can't be washed. This one has a quilted cover that can be removed and cleaned.

The inner pillow is made from muslin stuffed with slivers and other odd trimmings as well as scraps of batting I was saving for something like this.

I enjoyed the mindless activity of free form sewing with no measuring. I used some old cat fabric for the back. The binding is leftover from another project. The batting was also pieced from scraps.

Now that it's done, I've decided to keep it for myself (sorry kitties) it's on my sewing chair. Aren't you proud of me Nana?

It's from Moda's booklet called " Moda's candy, oh sew sweet! 18 projects". I'm working on a second pattern from the same booklet. It has pinwheel blocks that, when finished measure 2-1/2".  Whew!  I only do 2 or 3 at a time and by then I'm ready for a break.

Kris, Love your scrap kitty pillow--I'd have had a hard time giving it to my kitties too--if I had kitties.  Just watch out, they may just grab it from you anyway.   Ginny
