Patti, your hats are darling.  I think they would even be good for golfing.  Something different and cute.

Cute model too.    Ginny

Patti--Very cute hat.

Just finished piecing a quilt back. Just taking a break before I start cutting the batting to size so I can start layering. Here's my past few finishes. The autumn color items are a remake from an unquilted curtain I made a few years ago to hide clutter on shelves. I still have two blocks ready to bind that became hot pot mats.

Just for the record there are no patterns. That seems to be my theme song.

Agnes, I love your repurposed fabric projects!  Great way to recycle quilt fabric.  I expecially like the quilting motifs.

love your dresden quilt  and the remake of your curtain.  The table topper reminds me of a big sunflower.  Is the other one a tea cozy?     Ginny

Yes, it is a tea cozy. Back and front are identical. I used a layer of Insul Bright and batting on each side. Keeps the tea nice and hot.. Thanks for your compliments.

Patti I like the sun hat.  It is cute.  I might even be able to wear that one.  I don't usually go for hats.

Christine:

Actually, if you want to know the truth,  It's against the law for designers to restrict items made for sale.

"Quilters are passionate about their craft and like most passionate people, they tend to focus on what they want to believe as opposed to what they should believe, and those beliefs should be based upon facts, statutes and court decisions. Most articles out there are written by people who quilt so their articles tend to reflect their biases. We do not quilt so our bias is reflected by facts, statutes and court decisions. "   I copied this from the following website:
http://www.tabberone.com/Trademarks/CopyrightLaw/Quilting/Quilting.shtml

Hope this helps!

Patti:

Here is my completed baby quilt, for a co-worker.  Everything used was from my stash.  I am pleased with how the back fabric was such a good match.

Patti, I love it!!! Especially the butterfly. Did you have a pattern? It is so beautiful.

Copyrights are for the patterns, books etc and for protection from reprints for sale .

The quilts you make using the various patterns are not part of the copyrights.   Just using a different fabric, stitch, size, any number of variations automatically change the original pattern.  Just my take on copyrights.

Linda, for the butterfly pattern go to craftandnappies.blogspot.com.

She is selling some of her patterns now,  if this is one of them I am sure there will be a link.  She has lots of great patterns.

I added the pinwheels.

The butterfly pattern is on Craftsy -- http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilting/other/butterfly-12-paper-pieced-pattern/41138?SSAID=743483  and is very reasonably priced.
