Angele, what kind of animal is the one, in the center ,with the hat, wings and BIG nose?
Angele, another question. Aren't quilts that are in various stages of completion, and not finished, UFOs?
Last Saturday Marge P, Patti and I attended a Snow-Dying class at a LQS. Patti posted pictures of the dying process at the LQS, but after the snow had melted completely on/over our fabric, we were to return to do the rinsing and take the fabric home for the final vinegar rinse and run through the washer/dryer and then iron.
My piece from Saturday is now done and here is the big reveal! It lost a lot of its original vibrancy during the numerous rinses but the end product is a nice muted blend of colors and textures. I like it! It is not what I expected, but I am very happy with it!!!
Here is a close-up of one section:
There is a BIG surprise factor with snow-dying...you never know "exactly" what you will get.
I can't wait to see Patti's and Marge P's!

Your snow dye fabric is beautiful.
Oh boy, I don't know what I'm doing on this computer! We're trying to finish packing, clean the house etc and get out the door to head for the airport and then on to Branson retreat.
I should shut this laptop down and pack it up so I'm not tempted to play anymore!

No, really, I'm not. I'm a figment of your imagination. ;-) Computer will go down soon. But I'll be in touch via my iPhone.
Oh, just remembered. Gotta take a large strip of fabric to tie to the rental car antenna so Beth will recognize me if we happen to meet on the road.
OK, that's it. I'm done.
Donna, very pretty snow dying piece!

Donna, this is very cool.
Ginny, there is a panel in this line, but I took the strips of animals and made blocks with the other fabrics in the line. I still have enough to make another one. But first I need to make my other baby quilt!
Angèle from NWO
Thanks Marie...lol I will keep that in mind!
wow Donna, that came out nice. I rinsed and rinsed mine and the was still had some color. It is now hanging up to dry, on the fence. Heather says it will look lighter as it dries. Here is a picture of Dina with hers, still has some rinsing yet to do.

LaJuan Sukochi Lee: Angele, what kind of animal is the one, in the center ,with the hat, wings and BIG nose?
Sukochi I don't know which one you are talking about but I assume it would be the deer with the owl sitting on it. In the centre line there is skunk, bear, beaver, raccoon, deer, owl and then they repeat. So none wearing a hat!!
