Is you don't have to buy a copyright. The photo is mine, therefore I own the copyright. I started adding a watermark to photos I put online when I realised that people copy and paste photos without giving credit to the photographer. The pattern isn't mine. I mentioned the designer in a previous post and also in my blog.

Good idea Kris, I actually was introduced to a friend of a friend on the ski-trail who said "are you Donna B?" and did you make that quilt of "Gunn Ranch Road?"
After a long pause, I said "yes" and he proceeds to rave about my quilt. Very gratifying, but... I asked, "and how did you happen to see my quilt of "Gunn Ranch Road"? Oh I was googling the Gunn Ranch Road ski trail and it popped up! God only knows how many copies of the photo of my quilt are now floating around out there...LOL!
I think I will start putting a watermark on my posted pictures of my quilts too!
