LaJuan Sukochi Lee:
I did an applique quilt one time, used fabric and did a blanket stitch. It worked out well. Used fray check around the edges and fusible web. That applique is still there and in great shape.

Sukochi, I've done lots of applique using fusible and then doing a buttonhole stitch by hand or by machine. Mine have all held up just fine. I have a pot holder in the dryer right now, fusible and machine buttonhole stitch, had heavy use and many, many washings and it is holding just fine. I use heat n bond lite fusible for mine.

Gini, I will probably download the appliqué patterns but I have to finish the wildflowers one first before I get on this one.   I will definitely keep up with everyone's progress!

Many have tried. I am like a clothes dryer, it goes in and the "fluff" builds and builds! Only, unlike CC's dryer, try as we might, it will not open.
