Someone mentioned Quiltcon in one of the threads several months ago and piqued my interest. It's put on by the Modern Quilt Guild and looks like it should be pretty different from most of the quilt shows I've been to. I'll be there on the 23rd for the show, the demos and the exhibitors & vendors (of course)!! Here's a link ... http://www.quiltcon.com/
I know of one QCA quilter who might be there besides me!
Southwest of San Antonio
Debbie wish Austin was not so far away , will love to hear about it when you get back ..barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I'm getting more excited as the day draws near!
Yeah! It starts tomorrow! I'll be there Saturday... ALL day!
I wish!! Tell us all about it, please!
Oh, I wish I had known about this earlier as I could have planned to go. I somehow missed your first post in early Feb. Durn, durn, durn.
Just a quick note to share this free class at Craftsty: http://www.craftsy.com/class/quiltcon-lecture-series-2013/194 I think these are many of the lectures they charged people to attend! I've been busy so I haven't had a chance to post pictures but oh my the freebies!
Quiltcon was definately something different. I arrived Saturday morning when the doors opened at 10am and hobbled out as they were closing at 6pm. My plan was to sit in on as many of the demos as I could, see all the quilts and spend money! There was only one or two demos I had wanted to see that I missed, I made two or three trips around to the vendors and exhibitors, and I took pictures of quilts till my camera battery was in the red. The vendors and exhibitors made it well worth my while there with all the freebies they were handing out and I actually spent less than $40 on goodies. I've picked out my favorite 30 or so
pictures and if you want to see more, just ask! ... enjoy
