Thanks for the photos StefiKay. Stay safe and warm.
We got 31.9 inches up here and there's more in the forecast for tomorrow.
It's probably a good thing you decided not to do the Branson retreat, Kris. I'm not sure you'll be able to get out of your drive by then. Goodness, that's a lot of snow!
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)

Yea? They managed to get out for ice cream! I'm still picturing that little jaunt to the store and the determination of Kris's hubby. LOL
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
LOL Judy.
Nancy, I'm sure this white stuff couldn't keep me from retreat. It's work and the lack of time off that's keeping me here.
Pl ease to all getting this storm stay safe and warm.
I have to say the pictures are neat but I'm thinking I would be nuts with the animals and all the digging to get out of the house. My fur babies would love to play I mean sink in your yards. I know in IL we don't get those type storms much anymore and as an adult I don't miss it. Over night here I went from sweatshirt out doing chores to needing a boat to get to the critters.
I'm a material girl....Want to see my fabric collection?
StefiKay ,thanks for the great pictures. Y'all really did get alot of snow. LOL Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Outside Philly we only had about 4 or 5 inches of snow. Wish we had 3 or 4 feet of snow. I LOVE snow. My DS has a snowplow business and is a snowboarder and the snow has been sparse here the last few years. Well, it's still February so there's always the chance we can get more snow. I remember January 1996 we still lived in Philly and we had 3 feet of snow. It was awesome because the Governor shut the whole state down and everyone got to stay home for a couple of days...because noone could get out. When we moved out to this rural area we had to get a generator because the power goes out so often and we have a fireplace so we were all set for a big snow. As long as I have fabric and yarn, I can keep myself busy for days. Hope all those north of me, are safe and "supplied" ;-)
StefiKay
Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing but you can keep the snow.
Vinton, Virginia
Well it's coming down again and we have another severe weather advisory. We're supposed to get another two to four inches before it changes to sleet and freezing rain. Oh Joy (where's the sarcasm font).
Kris
I can deal with snow and never had a problem driving in it. But I sure hate freezing rain. Ice is such a b......h to drive on.

I agree that snow is fun to play in and pretty to look at, but even our 8-inch snowfall (yesterday) was a bear to clean up. Randy does the plowing of the 700-foot drive, but I get all the shoveling of the deck, sidewalk, and the first 8 feet of the drive outside the garage doors (giving Randy space to move his equipment). My back is complaining heartily.

As evidenced by all the MVCs coming in tonight.
Guess what? They're predicting more for this weekend...I really need to get out of here.
Hang in there, Kris. That white stuff can't stick around forever! We'll all come over with our least favorite big fabric pieces & help warm it up so it melts faster ;-)

OH Eileen,
I missed your comment. I really like this idea.
