I am sorry I have been away too long but life and medical got in the way. I have to say some of the ppl I have met here have continued to be in my thoughts and I consider them friends. I have learned alot from the ppl here in the past and hope to continue. I am getting back to sewing after a way to long of vacation from my sewing machine. I have to add my wonderful other half bought me a "ring" just because he could......I will pick up my first ever modern sewing machine next week *does happy dance*. I have been using a Pfaff from 1956 and I love it. I had bought a white quilting machine years ago and yeah that was just not even right. It is an awesome little machine for 2 pieces of cotton but nothing more. So without me even saying anything I am getting an updated real modern machine!!!! and have returned for the inspirations, thoughts and companionship of others.
I'm a material girl....Want to see my fabric collection?

I have to say while I have been gone several of you have given me a chuckle reading over old emails from our long chats here. I have honestly thought many times about coming back but wasn't sure I was ready....I think I am its too cold outside to do anything and I really need the wonderful relaxation of my sewing machine, even if it is an antique.
My new machine will be a Husqvarna Sapphire. I know its not the fanciest but considering my other half has been out of work for 9 months. He wanted to get me a ring for Chirstmas.... so I got a Sapphire "ring". He went into the shop with me to get needles for his well x-mother-in-law that is adorable lady.....and we came out with plans to pick up my new right out of the box machine on the 4th. When we dropped her needles off I told her and she was excited so guess first step is her house.
I have stock-pile of all the sewing necessities.....thread, fabric, fabric and tons of chocolate. I think I am ready to get the new machine home *giggles* and eat chocolate
you will love your sapphire, i have one and it is a great machine.
Is there any suggestions of extras I might want to get? They offer classes and I will take them and get 10% off anything I buy for the machine *giggles* I wonder if this will include a trip to the quilt shop down the road a bit.
Congrats on all good things coming your way, Rhonnie. Glad your new ring is a Sapphire. I am sure you will enjoy her. Ginny
