I jiust made a quilt using the Fons & Porter Half and Quarter Triangle ruler. I'm not a ruler jumkie, so had never tried using a specialty ruler like this one. Glad I did--I liked it a lot. It seemed easier than cutting across the squares to make the triangles. And one set of dog ears is cut off for you.
I think the neatest tool I've bought lately (although I don't think it's a new item) is Fons & Porters binding tool that helps you join the tails of your binding. Before I got it I'd just overlap the ends and it looked like yuck. Now I can easily sew the tails together and it looks great. I think there is a video on QNN-TV.

I'll look for that video, I'd like to learn how to make better bindings. Thanks for the tip!

EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I'm working on a pattern that called for the F&P Half and Quarter Triangle Ruler. I already own the Wrights Easy Angle Ruler and Companion Angle Ruler so I used those. Two rulers to do the job of F&P's one, but I got it done!
