Patti:Black bean and sausage soup:
Patti, this sounds wonderful. DH was excited to try it too. He said it has two of his favorite foods, beans and sausage. How did you know we only use turkey sausage? Thanks so much for sharing. I'm making this on Saturday.
Jennsquilts:My favorite quickie dinner
Sounds delicious. Can't wait to go food shopping this weekend. We're going to be all ready for next week with these yummy recipes. Thanks for sharing Jenn.
Marie: Right now I have potatoes, carrots, onions and a whole chicken skin removed in mine.
Now that's my kind of meal, Marie. I know I could use the leftovers for several days but guys tend to eat more. Must be those "muscles." ; ) Maybe I make a double batch. When I know the electrician is finished with his work and won't be turning off the electricity for long time periods, things will probably get easier.
CC, don't know how you knew that my DH is a home brewer. The first thing he did yesterday when he got home from work was bring his cases of beer in the house fearing the extreme cold in the garage would freeze up his chocolate, honey oat, a Belgian Tripel and pumpkin batches. His Peche-Wit (Belgian for Peach Wheat) is in the brewer now. Which kind would you recommend for your recipe? Sounds wonderful. Thanks for taking time out to share.
Barbara:Mimi good luck with the Kitchen
Thanks Barbara. I'm going to have to try some muffins and biscuits in the toaster oven this weekend to go with all the soups and stews we'll be eating. DH has to work so hopefully I won't set anything on fire. We had veggie lasagna tonight from the freezer. But individual portions get expensive. Luckily I had some Giant gift cards to use up. Thanks for your input. I surely do appreciate my QCA friends.
Oh Mimi, I feel for you with that plaster dust all over. It gets to feel like you are eating it sometimes. Just permeates everything. Good luck with it all. Ginny
P.S. doesn't CC's recipe sound great? Just hearing about your husband's beer brews sounds good too. Makes me want a beer. LOL Ginny

with those flavors, I could find I like beer. My favorite beer so far was apricot. Had it in Ithica. Wish we had it here.

Mimi, my son is into fresh herbs so he shared some fresh Italian parsley and thyme with me that I put in also and it really made the difference in taste. I usually use the dried McCormick spices because the fresh is not only expensive but it spoils so quickly. It turned out yummy!
