same here....good thing I'm not too much into clothes, cause my closet is full of storage bins of fabric. also just realized while getting all stressed trying to stitch in ditch perfect seams...that this sewing thing was to be relaxing ......
Fabriholic! I think I want to spell that differently. fabrihaulic meaning you get together with a bunch of your quilt friends and "haul" away fabric from their stash that DH has seen and is sick of moving so he can sit in his chair.

Nana:It will work best with 2 fabrics with stark constrast
Thanks Judy T, Marie and all for the comments on the Seattle Sue blocks. They're handy to pick up in the evening while watching TV and, as you say, bring back memories.

Those colors would definitley work. Any 2 colors that give a big contrast will work great. Just hold off on buying fabrics until I finish getting the yardages together. Since this quilt is only using 2 colors it tends to take more of each fabric then we usually figure.
Nana, my LQS is having a sale tomorrow during Super Bowl time. I was wondering if the measurements for the two colors had been posted yet? Also if I remember correctly, they have to read as solids, is that correct?

The colors should read as solids. I haven't posted requirements. Everything on requirements and cutting instructions should be reaady to come out the middle of March. But I will say that when I buy fabrics that I am not sure what I am using them for I always buy 3 yds of each fabric. That will usually cover anything I want to make.
Thank Nana, that is what I thought I would do. The border will be the distinct factor I presume.
Nana this one you say wont work with print?

Solids it is then.
When does MQ 8 start ?

The first set of instructions will come out about mid March.
