Brigit-Carol:

I love the pics of MQ3.  Are the steps still listed somewhere on the site?  I joined the MQ3 group hoping to gain access, but couldn't find them.

Hello,

All the instructions for the mystery quilt groups can be found by going to the QCA homepage and clicking on Mystery Quilts 7 in the left hand tool bar. I think MQ 3 starts on page 3.

When I logged on today, was trying to find out how long it takes others to finish a quilt.  But it seems like the norm is to keep starting them (as I am doing..and I've only been quiltin about a year)  if I need it then I really hustle and finish it...I'm going to try to quilt along with mq8  .  I think I might enjoy this.  so now I'll have another quilt put on hold...or maybe I should try to catch up by March....really love this site....sherry

Nana:
Just wanted to give everyone an update.   The particulars will come out sometime about the middle of March.

Nana, how much wine should we bring if we want to coax the details from you in Branson so we can shop for our fabric while we're there?

I'm not much of a wine drinker so I don't think that will do any good......LOL>

Are you not the one who brought the sweet white wine from Virginia to the beach house???

Nancy

I did bring the white wine.  Wanted everyone to be able to sample wine from a vineyard not far from where I live.  I will drink a sweet white wine occasionally but that is about it.

I flat out can't *believe* this bunch!  Three pages of posts just since Sunday!  I'm SO glad I asked about MQ8, and somebody clued me in :)

Glad, too, to find that having UFOs is an acceptable situation :)  So far, my MO (modus operandus -- the so-called 'method' in my madness) has been to have projects overlap in the pipeline.  It takes me a long time to pick and collect fabrics and decide on block designs.

This is a draft of the quilt  I decided to make for my youngest grandson instead of using these fabrics in MQ7 ...he's a 'wild child' and the quilt reflects his personality LOL

I'm using QuiltPro, and have NO idea why the upper left triangle has abdicated from the design!   I have another few fabrics to go with it, and haven't decided yet whether to use them on the quilt top or the pieced backing.

I did finish a more sober quilt in black and white for my granddaughter, and I'm also in the early design stage for my eldest grandson.

That quilt design for your grandson looks very intriquing can't wait to see it made up.   Ginny

just in time,

DS1 is out and I have moved everything back inside from the tailor. The temporary quilt room is all set up and I will have to finish the borders on the three MQ7's before March. LOL.

Bayla

That's a very pretty quilt design.  I am afraid those fabrics would have my eyes doing crazy things...LOL>

Wow, Bayla, that is one psychedelic quilt!  Perfect for a "wild child".

Nana,

I have a pattern passed down from my grandmother, mother to me that is actually the southern bell.  A 3 part dress with a parasol.  I am hoping to find it soon as I have 2 seven year old grand girls that would love it.  But single digit outdoor temps make it too cold to search in the attic.

I have always loved that pattern but it is really difficult to find anymore,.   Everything is Sunbonnet Sue and I have just never cared much for her...LOL>
