Frances:I saw this fabric and had to get it as i love "The Country diary of an Edwardian Lady" book by Edith Holden, and i have several bits of china so i thought this would make a lovely quilt.

Marie and Frances, I love your fabrics. I have to ask though. Has any quilter gone into a LQS or fabric store and NOT gotten any fabric at all?
Georgetown, CA I'd Rather Be Quilting
Melissa, yup that was me today. Went to Joanne's with a friend and came out with only a magazine. Shame on me!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a disgrace to the quilting community!!!!!!!!!! Sorry guys, I won't do it again, I promise. : ). I have to go alone when I'm buying anything quilty, my friend was in a hurry and you know how long one can be in a quilt shop. I'll be back there before the weeks out, alone this time.
Thanks Barbara, it was from a charm pack.
Don't be sorry Frances, not your fault. I should've also asked if you use the milliner or betweens needles? I don't want the stitches to show.

Melissa,
I can promise you i have never brought anything in a LQS (as we dont have those in england).

In the past ive used both and ive also used normal sewing needles i dont find it makes a difference i just find it easier with long needles find whats easiest for you.
