Okay Everyone,

Ive finally started the quilt representing the song "the Hawaiian 12 days of Christmas" so the first block is going to be "Mynar bird in a Papaya tree". Ive cut out the first bits for the block so here are the trunk and leaves and fruit of the Papaya before they are Appliqued on.

Il post again when i finish the block.

Well here it is my first block finished I had to play around a bit with it as the pattern was for a wall hanging and i wanted to fit it into a 13" square.

So thats the Mynah bird in a Papaya tree, now onto the two coconuts.

Gini this is all thanks to you this time last year i would never have thought I could do Applique or design my own quilt, but thanks to you and the rest of the Applique group you have all given my the confidence to do it (the only problem is now i never want to do anything at a sewing machine).
