I don't understand alot on the program but right now trying to figure out what the import button is for? Yep you guessed I havn't read instructions. But I did design a quilt using it now I'm wondering if the stencil I printed I could duplicate on to baby quilt I'm making using fmq by tracing design on to quiltblocks Is that still called fmq?

I'm still learning EQ7 myself so I don't know a whole lot about it. The only thing I've used "import" for was to add fabrics I've scanned to EQ7.
P. S. Do you know that there's an EQ Software group here on QCA? I've found some helpful info from people in that group.
I agree with checking out the EQ7 group, Kris uses EQ a lot and check the group often. There are a lot of others who are very helpful also. I have the program but I got it just before I started treatment and I'm afraid I'm going to have to learn it all over again. It will be just like having a new toy LOL
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Is 2116, Have you watched the video lessons and printed the lessons that came with EQ. If not please do so. I read that manual all the way through and did not understand a thing until I did those lessons. The webb site also has new lessons all the time for free. I have had my EQ for 2-3 years and have barely scratched the surface of what it can do. When I want to do something new, I look for the lesson on it, then read the book then do it. It works for me because I can't keep everything in my little pea brain anymore. Do check on the EQ group here as well
Happy quilting

Thanks I printed a stencil just not sure now if I should trace it onto fabric squares for fmq but something is blocking my brain and telling me to just sew on top of fabric with no tracing for fmq but then what are quilt design books for if you don't trace design on fabric. I really am making fmq seem impossible .

The manual has step by step instructions to follow along to get you acquainted with many of the program's features. Import is for fabric, photos etc.
Where is the eq7 group and Thanks for replying.

Look under "Groups".
I'm taking the EQ7 Sampler class from Quilt University right now. We're in week 2. It's a great class. Several members in the EQ7 group took the class last fall but since I was in the middle of a move, I decided to wait.
Thanks everyone I'll try to find that group again.
