i was so busy defending actual tea drinkers that I missed saying what a lovely quilt that is.
Agnes I like your window quilt or what the name in other thread. but I really came over to speak about teapots and such.
I'm an actual tea drinker. Testimony: my now wife's son, when <18 had tea with us, my custom mix in a handmade teapot. This Christmas, now 21, his only request was that I'd make tea for us as we used to have.
Tea matters.

Is is Gini, I thought the woman did a great job on the quilt. I like the fabrics and layout she used. Maybe this will be my project for the Oregon coast retreat in October.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
as opposed to them tea bag people.
but nothing wrong with a pretend tea party either.
Nana: Judy I remember you making a teapot pot holder at the first Leavenworth retreat. It was so pretty.

Oh, that's right. I had forgotten when I made it. As I remember it was a last minute thing to do in the final hour or so of the retreat.
Beautiful quilt!!
Hi Agnes, you sound like my daughter she has just been turned onto tea of all kinds of flavors. There is a new store (I think) and it is pretty expensive but she bought a set that had a small tea pot, for leaves she even took one to work. I enjoy a cup of tea each am in my dainty china cup. My friend years ago gave me a porcelain tea pot and a cup & saucer to match for special moments.

Thanks so much for posting a picture of the teapot quilt. I love it. Went to Amazon immediately and ordered the Mackinsey book. I can't wait for it to come. I want to make it in memory of my Great Aunt Marie who always had a pot ot tea ready for me during graduate school when I wen to visit her. kath

What a lovely idea. Quilts made with memories are the best kind of all.
Judy, I love that teapot table topper. I have a weakness for teapots and teacups. I posted them either in my gallery or blog. And I just made my secret sister a teacut wall hanging.I almost didn't give it to her! The colors didn't go in my house. What was the name of that book it came from again?

I don't know for sure what book the woman who made the quilt used. But the book I have is by Kay MacKenzie and it's called Teapots 2 to Applique. Her website is http://www.quiltpuppy.com/
Some of her books come with CDs which are really great. You can print the patterns off various sizes.
Oh boy another project for my bucket list. Must do a table topper for somewone special's b'day. I love the tea pots I put them at the top of next winters project.
