No I can't get it to stick from the get go.
Jesse
Are you using steam. The steam doesn't let the "sticky" stick like it should. Also it doesn't like very high heat.

i dont steam but i may be using too high of heat. i use a pressing sheet though because the ink on the shirt seems to stick to the iron.
they also add sizing to make fabric feel thicker and of better quality

I just bought a can of sizing to try. I am making a couple more T-Shirt quilts and will use it for the sashing and border. I cant wait to try it on a full quilt!

Just learned this at my Guild meeting tonight... Bounce has a non-aerosol spray that works like Best Press (no flakes) but is a lot cheaper. I can't wait to try it.
Jesse, are you using the interfacing that has the glueon the back ? there is some that dosen't have it so you want to make sure you do . I like heat and bond or pella it seems to be the best I've found. Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I use 906 pellon f and yea it has glue on it. I'm just baffled. Ii end up ironing it on ovr and oer throughout the quilt.
Jesse , that is strange ,I've not had any problems with my interfacing coming off . Now this is just me but I also use alittle washable glue with I appllique ,it helps keep the peice from moving until I get it anchored down .I like the cheapy elmers glue stitcks . but again that's just me .
Jesse, are you using a lower setting on your iron? most fusibles call for a lower temp i set my iron on 4 and have no problems with them coming off. but i have forgotten and used my regular setting and have noticed they dont stay stuck. just a thought

Someone mentioned about the heat. I am guilty of turning it on the high setting which is for Cotton. I have a cheap iron from Walmart and it only has settings based on what kind of fabric it is. Maybe it would be a good idea to try to purchase a different iron?
When i bought the fusible Jo Ann Fabric's kept the paper part and I didn't say anything because i figured it was just an easy iron on thing so I was unable to read about exactly how to do it. Lesson learned!! haha.
Jesse, my iron is also from walmart, the instructions on the fusible will tell you to turn it down to a wool or polyester setting on mine it is 3 and 4
Ok, I will have to give this a try. I have two more t-shirt quilts to make so I will pray and turn down the heat! Thank you guys so much. Everyone has been so amazingly helpful! <3
