I told Dh that if he loved me he'd shoot me multiple times, at close range, with a large caliber weapon and end my misery. He refused. ...
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
DH and I haven't had the flu. I did get a stomach virus and DH got a chest cold but so far so good. We are considering getting the shot but just haven't made that jump yet. We haven't gotten the flu shot in over 12 yrs and been lucky. This one sounds very serious though.
I was thinking, why won't the hospitals ER, walk-in clinics, etc put a limit on how many non-sick people can accompany a sick person to their facility? With the facilities being so crowded and spread of germs in their confined areas I don't understand why 5 or 6 family members come in with one sick person and then bring in their non-sick infant, other adult family members or teenagers and expose them to more. Doesn't make sense to me. It's like a social area instead of a sick area. Anyway, I think the powers that be should limit the amount of people to accompany them to one driving adult. Let the rest stay home with the other children and family members. Especially during this epidemic. Make room for those who are sick, etc.
Wish you are able to stay clear of this flu bug and those who are ill will feel better soon.
Judy T-Bellingham: Perhaps Kris means anyone who walks through the door has to wear a mask if not shot? I would also be surprised that any care worker not be required to be up on all shots.

No Judy it's employees.
I never understood why people at work refuse to get the shot with so many sick people coming in. The only excuse should be allergy.
Judy T-Bellingham:My doctor told me to rub Vaseline inside my nose to keep the tissues moist. May not prevent but may help.
I do this to help nose bleeds.

This is being done Ramona. Our limit is normally two but right now it's one.
Jack Frost has a senseof humor. He painted a polar bear on the window...
Cool photo Chocake.
Since DH had his bout with GBS, many health care folks say he shouldn't get the flu shot. Apparently back in the '70's there were a lot of GBS cases linked to the flu vaccine. I think if I worked at a hospital or DR office, I would wear a mask to keep from breathing in other folks germs, flu shot or not.

What happened to "What are you up to today 7"?
What am I up to today, you ask? Well I'm drooling. One of our much loved members sent me an 18 month calendar with 18 hunks and she expects me to choose one? Well since 6 were in 2012 I've chosen December but I get to choose 1 each month from here on.
