Does anybody know if there's a way to add an attachment to a PM or even a forum thread? I know there's the option to add Media, but I'm trying to add an Excel or Word file . . . those don't qualify as media . . . at least not for the purposes of an attachment.
Kristin, have you tried attaching it as media, to see if that will work?
can you copy and paste it in?

If you look at the header on the reply box you will see a little place with a file and a W. If you click on this it gives you the option of paste from Word. This should allow you to add the attachment.

Nana, thanks, from all of us, who did not have the answer to this question. You rock.
You are welcome. I haven't tried it before but that is how it is supposed to work....LOL
Actually the Word one gives you a window to paste from word and it is supposed to adjust the formatting so it will show up in the post correctly, the last time I tried it it did not work.
To post the PDF file liz, use the media link and attach your file like you would a picture, it will then post a link that would have to be clicked and then it would open up the file. If others want to save it they can open it and then save it to their computer. Hope this helps...

As far as I know you can attach a document (not copy and paste) by clicking on "Options" near the top of your post window. You'll see a place for a file attachment. Or you can add a file to a blog post.
You can't attach a file to a private message.
Be careful attaching files that you did not create yourself. You're better off posting links to others' documents.
Thanks Kris, I knew there was another way to do it, just could not remember how..
Thank you. I'm handling it through Copy - Paste since I'm sending PM's.
Thanks all for your information.

Test to see if I can attach a document from my computer (not picture). This is a PDF file.

I just clicked on the media icon (film strip looking thingy). This is a nice addition I didn't know was possible.
Briget-Carol, how cute is this??
Not technically a photo but a saved download and posted fine in the weight loss topic. Just thought I'd share it here as well.
