I have just retired from 30 years plus of nursing. I have always wanted to quilt, but never had the time. But now I have lots of that &, since September, have made several lap quilts, a table runner & holiday placemats. It is really fun! I am a cat (and dog) lover & have 3 rescue cats. They are great, but can get fur all over my quilts! I'm anxious to learn more about quilting.

Welcome Ardis...you will have lots of fun here and make many new friends!
Welcome Ardis! I, too, took up quilting for my retirement years, but I think you may have accomplished more in a few months than I have in a couple of years! Where do you live? We have been having QCA regional retreats - maybe you could attend one so we could meet you. I've learned a lot of new techniques from some very talented ladies at these retreats.

Welcome, Ardis, I've only been on since end of Sept but have found everyone to be so friendly and helpful. This is my new FB!

I live in Southwest Florida, where there is no snow & little cold weather. Right now it is just hitting 70. I was born in Pennsylvania & moved here in '73. Wouldn't go back. Nothing like opening up the house & quilting in the sunshine.
I'd love to go to a retreat if it is not too far away.
