My quilting friend and neighbor gave me a pretty sewing box to keep in the living room when I'm doing my hand sewing. I'd been using a 30+ year old gold plastic sewing box with the insert long gone. There was a gift certificate from the LQS to help fill it!
Southwest of San Antonio
got my thread/ruler set up in my quilt room.
My husband also bought me a 39" tv for my quilt studio. I had a dinky tv before and if I was at my cutting table I couldn't see it. My quilt room is 33' long. And it didn't get the digital channels. he also got a BlueRay DVD player. I don't ever have to come out of my quilt studio now. LOL
The only thing I got that is remotely associated to quilting is a new oversize ironing board. Now I can press all my quilts...LOL>

Georgia Girl...love my Square n Square ruler...over 200 flying geese with it in not time. Looking forward to making other designs this year. Enjoy yours.
Jeanine, what a great room you have to work in. All you need now is a mini fridge and you should be all set for the winter. : )

Actually, there is a full-size fridge, sink and microwave right outside the door in the family room. Yeah, I never really have to leave the basement.
Wow, it sounds like Santa was good to everyone. I did not get anything yet, except the safe arrival of all my family which is the best gift of all. I do, however, get to go and look for an armoire, for one of my bedrooms, that I can store quilting stuff in and, for right now, my daughter can use it for her things while she is here. I hope I can find what I want and not have to give an arm and a leg for it.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Spud, so glad your family made safe

Spud, I am sooo glad that all of your family arrived safely for Christmas. Mine was all here too. We numbered 23 at dinner on Christmas and everyone had an awesome time. My GD and her family were here from the other side of the state also, got to see my youngest GGD who is 18 months old-and I hadn't seen her since she was 6 weeks old. It was all just the best ever.
