Not sure how I missed this thread before, but I've loved seeing everyone's spaces. I recently moved mine and wished I'd taken before/after pics of both the spaces. Both rooms look MUCH better now. We have a spare bedroom that we converted to 1/2 laundry room (although I feel like the laundry is currently taking closer to 2/3!) and 1/2 sewing space.. I like this layout b/c the ironing board can do double-duty.
I loved seeing pics of the sewing/quilting spaces. My sewing space is currently under construction. I will try to post some pics of the current state of it.
Entry from library to studio -- note the paper path and the plastic dust shield.
Archway into studio.
Windows towards the northwest. The hill behind will be planted in color. There is a closet on the southwest side of the room and the north wall will be cabinets and counter top with a built in sink, washer and dryer.
The washer, dryer and sink hook-up. The door is just a door and frame that was removed. Cabinets will go on that wall.
Long view of the room.
This is the other side of the room towards the bay window.
PM me your address Quiltless, I'm moving in! What a wonderful space, I'd never leave it.

Ah! Thank you, Marie. It is finally, after many moves, my forever home.
Quiltless, what a heart warming story you tell. Looks like you have a little piece of paradise there and you deserve it!

That's a good idea, Carolyn. I'm doing a laundry in my sewing space too. I've seen several lay-outs doing that in studio design magazines. It sort of fits to have laundry combined with an area focused on fabric arts.
I've loved seeing all your sewing spaces. I have beautiful sewing area in my basement my problem is with my foot each time I go down stairs the condition is aggravated thats why i'm working overtime trying to keep area on first floor that and its just too cold down there. Maybe I'll post pic next time I get down stairs.
Quilting My Rainbow
thanks. will mention to darling hubby. he thinks if we attach 1.5 inch styrofoam (like what is use in insulating) it will be enough. if his idea doesn't work, i will definitely go your way.
