I suspect I'm the only person who hasn't done this. But, this morning I tossed my old toothbrush. Then I frogged out the border on MQ7 as I didn't like it. I looked at all the little threads, I thought about my old toothbrush. Dug it out of the trashcan and very carefully lightly ran it over the threads. They came up easily with no shredding of the fabric.
Now that old, soft toothbrush is part of my sewing tools.

Great idea Judy! I would probably have to remember not to turn mine on :) Seriously though, quilters are so resourceful, I use a lot of things that are not made for quilting.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Spudgrandma:Great idea Judy! I would probably have to remember not to turn mine on :
Oh, Spud, that's funny. I'm visualizing you with the buzzing toothbrush de-threading a quilt.
Great tip Judy, I need to change my toothbrush and will use it for frogging threads.

Thanks for the tip, Judy. I have been re-purposing a few projects lately and I will be trying the toothbrush trick very shortly.
Great idea. I was given several toothbrushes and haven't used them since I use an electric. I'll dig one out to see if it's soft enough.
Or maybe end up with a huge mess. I wonder what would happen if that toothbrush caught a thread that was still connected, hmmmmm :)
I have been doing that idea too. some sort of recycling.
