Foot pedal help

This is pedal for machine I normally use so when i sew my leg is lifted off ground unless I'm doing something wrong can anybody think of a way for it to work on slant?

Is2116,   Your foot pedal looks just like the one to my pfaff.  When I sew with it, my heel is on the floor and the front part of my foot is on the part that depresses.  That way I have good contol over how fast it sews.  If that is too high for your foot to reach like that, you could put a 1/2 inch thick piece of wood on the floor right behind it to give you more control.    Ginny

Thanks so much for replying Ginny.  Yes its for my Pfaff machine that is a back up machine but I get leg cramps from using that pedal someting in ergonomics I'll try wood or a book.
