ok I am new to the mystery quilts and the whole idea of posting and decided to tackle mystery quilt #6. on step 2 is says see Newbies tips. Where do I find these???
I couldn't find the newbie tips when I went back to look. But I think it might have been to mark a diagonal line on the back of the smaller square, place the smaller on top of the larger, right sides together, and then using the mark as a guide, sew a thread or two off the line towards the side of the corner. Sewing a couple threads distance off the line, works like using a "scant 1/4" seam. So when it is pressed the corner patch isn't slightly smaller than the rest of the square.
