I am making a quilt for my son in law. He brought me a military wool blanket. It is thin but very dense and heavy. I made top out of plaid shirting and back from brushed denim. I need to know if this is too thick, so that it will cause problems? I have it loaded and ready to quilt. I was planning on just quilting horizontal stripes.TIA
hi kr., welcome to the group. i don't have a long arm but you should have no problem quilting through the wool, even though it is dense, the fibers are further apart and thicker than cotton, your needle will plow through it easily. the denim, i'm not sure about.

Welcome. I don't know the answer to your question, but it sounds like it will be a very durable and warm quilt.
