Anyone have an battery operated sewing machine and does it work just as good as electric normal domestic sewing machines? I was wondering if anyone bought the battery operated sewing machines and if they worked just as good as normal sized domestic sewing mac hines?

If you need one that is not powered by electricity, I would go with a treadle instead.  I don't see the advantage of a battery run machine.  Unless DH is taking you to a cabin without power. 

I have never seen a battery powered machine.

I have a collection of toy sewing machines. I have several battery operated ones and they do not work very well Im afriad. A treadle or hand crank will work for no electric days..
