My husband is a transport driver for wonder. Please keep us in your prayers. Pray that the bakers union will get a clue and realize THAT THEY ARE ABOUT TO PUT 17,000 PEOPLE OUT OF A JOB. The bakery here in Ogden is not on strike. But if operations don't start back up, They will have no choice but to liquidate and close their doors. It is amazing to me that the bakers can't wrap their heads around this.
Wendy, what a stressful time for your family and all others affected by this. Let's hope for a speedy resolution.

I saw on the news where some workers have gone back to work but there are still some striking. I cannot imagine in this day and time why people want to risk their jobs, but I also understand that 25-30% cut in pay is a lot of money. I pray that it will soon be resolved.

Hoping and praying that the strike is resolved and everyone can return to Hostess with peace. Not a good time for anyone to be out of a job.
Oh, Wendy, you are right when you say this affects so many. I am with all the others in prayer over this.
Jim worked for Hostess years ago, delivered to the stores. Great job. But, now look what is happening.
Jim lost a job, once, 2 days before Thanksgiving. It is the worst time of the yeay for this to happen. I pray that this ends quickly and it does not come to that.
Well, it certainly wasn't good news this morning when they reported that Hostess is closing its doors. I saw folks at the grocery store grabbing all the Twinkies they could get. One of the news pundits suggested that Hostess missed it chance to capitalize on the public's infatuation with all things 60's. Twinkies and Wonderbread can't be marketed as healthy products, but they can fill the bill for those who are nostalgic.
So sorry for all affected employees and affiliated businesses.
