Nana,
thanks for that. I use Inklingo quite a bit and own several of Linda's CDs yet I forgot all about it when making the list.
MNnancy:Kris, thanks for sharing the link to Fat Cat Patterns. I can't believe she gives so many cute animal patterns away for free. I'm downloading all the cats! (don't tell the dog)

Do you McTavish? Have her book but just have not got the knack for that one yet. Attempted with pen and paper and constantly end up stuck somewhere......
This site hate me I had a long note to you then for some reason I got kicked off the site, just as I tried to save and post.
I have not McTavished yet since I am just starting to learn how to machine quilt on my domestic machine. I am working my way through all my DVDs practicing the easiet hopefully working to the hardest pattern. I want to teach my muscles , hand -eye coordination how to move with the fabric.
I am making a sofa throw using a quilt and go method... ( FUN AND DONE patterns) Each 15 x12 block is machine quilted, then I sew the backing together and fold it over to form the sashing. This way I am not wasting fabric and batting. Of course I only do this with my best (to date) workmanship. Any ugly patterns are turned into pot holders and trivets... the reallllllly bad ones are used to check my machine tension.
I am working my way through all the DVD and on line video pattern I can find... Sharon Schambers ( I love her basting ...) Ricky Timms Grand Finale, Patsy Thompson's basic, feathers and Vines & leaves DVDs... I am also trying Mary Masuta's FOOLPROOF MACHINE QUILTING TECHNIQUE using contact paper. When I am done with this project I should feel ready to tackle some real quilts.
Lady Rags, I do not know why and no one can give me an answer but if you have been on for 2 hours the site will make you log in again - I am going to again address this with the administrators and see if they can do something.
It does sound like you are having fun learning machine quilting. It is practice practice practice as far as I can see.
It was fun reading your enthusiasm.

Quilting Links
I've been working with QCA Liz on finding a place for the list so it will be easy to find. I'll keep you posted.
Post this link too.... I tried it and loved it... it is solving several problems for me....
I took it to retreat and now everyone is using this system when we quilt of charity.
LadyRags the link is posted as "Custom Sewing Table". I used that because that's what was on the heading on the site.
Thanks for adding it. It is a great resource.
