Yeah Jeanine I can sure understand that, My guild is doing a couple of QOV,and we spent one whole day cutting out HST till I thought we were gonna drop .but we did get started on the actual piecing before we left .. They are going to be really nice when finished .
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Two pretty quilts Jeanine. I've got half of my blocks done, I hope to finish them this weekend. I'll have to see if I can do more later.
I received 8 blocks today!
i was thinking of doing a block drive for myself. It's kind of fun getting the blocks in the mail. Anyone want to donate blocks to me? LOL. Just kidding! It is fun, though.
Jeanine didn't get any today but I know some are on the way. it is fun getting them in the mail .as soon I get more I can get started putting my together. I want to thank you for the inspriation to do this .I'm enjoying meeting my team from all over the US. Barbara
I am having fun with this, too. I received blocks from two more so I have 30 so far.

I'm enjoying sewing the blocks too - haven't received where to send them yet, will keep making them, if I end up with extras, that wouldn't be so bad, would it? After I have been working on them for couple days, I began to wonder if my ideas for "Wonky" were the same as theirs, as in, mine are all colors and sizes of strips, the way I always make them, no lights and darks, just random strips. Hope they will be OK! Here's a picture of few finished except for the black borders Close up of one --- have all the others in various sizes in progress.
They look great Carol!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
They look wonderful, Carol! I am also mixing colors and patterns and not trying to do a dark side and light side of the log cabin pattern. I've done some blocks that the strips are wonky, but only a few. It goes faster if I use straight strips.
I've got my second set of 20 blocks done. This set will go to British Columbia, Canada. I guess I'll get to deal with Post Office tomorrow with the customs forms.
I'm trying to clear out most of my old scraps. There is probably enough for another 40 blocks at least already cut and ready to be sewn. I'd better get back to it!
Max
They look great, Carol. I have 20 more on the way so I will have enough to put together my first quilt.
Here is another top ready to quilt...
All thr blocks look fantanstic ladies. I think I have gotten enough now to do my first quilt , I have had some beauites coming in form my team.
Jeanine beautiful quilt . Barbara
Everyone I went back and Added the Sandy Quilt project to the main title of this Thread. I want everyone to see the great work everyone is doing and why . Barbara
Jeanine ,Have a question for you ,How are you incorporating the labels on your quilts , are you just stitching them on after you have the quilt finished or are in putting them in the actual backing.? I was not real sure how to do that. thanks .Barbara
Carol's blocks are so pretty I kinda hate to show mine! I'm working from the top of my scrap box, taking scraps off in layers. That method creates several blocks that sort of look alike cause they have similar colors and fabrics. Hope the Team Leader has a very creative mind to be able to put them all together!
Barbara and Jeanine, and other Team Leaders, THANK YOU!
Max, your blocks are awesome! Good work! You have some pretty nice scraps.
