Do any of you have a deadbar on your quilt frame; if so, did it come with your frame or did you add it. I'm thinking I would like to put one on mine to make it easier for me to use and would like the pros and cons. Thanks All!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
I suppose if I have to ask what a dead bar is then I probably don't have it.

:) Darn, I got all excited, I thought you had an answer. I cannot explain it very well. I'll see if I can find a picture Nancy.
See the white bar underneath the takeup bar; that is a dead bar. It eliminates the need to raise and lower the takeup bar. But I don't know if it really works, like I said, I would like the pros and cons.
Oh Gosh.. I thought it had something to do with Davey, Davey Crocket that is. He kilt him a bar when he was only three...
(Must had a powerful bad hangover in the morning!)
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.

I have played with a couple of machines that had the dead bar on them and really didn't see where it was that big of a help. Maybe there will be someone that uses one and can give better info.

Spud - I don't work again until Thurs but I will check out the Handi-Quilters on the floor. If they have a dead bar, I will ask Ken about the pros and cons for you.
