Caryl Anne:
I was able to finish my top, thrilled over the finished look.

Caryl Anne, I love the look of your red sashing and borders.  I just decided after we got home tonight how to do the borders on my small quilts.  At least one will have 1" white border then I will sew a bunch of the 2" strips together side by side and cut across at 2 inches to make a checkerboard border.   Final border will be 1" white again with white binding.  I usually try for a 38" width and 42 to 44" length.   This one could be a few inches larger all around to allow for the white outer border.  Time will tell what I do!

I hear you Marsha, sometimes even when I do a draft of my project I don't always finish it that way. My original thought was to do a full keys border, but just didn't have as much sewing time this past two weeks with Mother.

Thank y’all for your comments, I used Kona eggshell jellyroll cuts for the borders on mine, I auditioned snow, champagne, natural and eggshell. The slight yellow tint sold me over, as it is complimentary to all the red, blue, green and gold in the fabrics. I am so glad I found the ho ho ho fabric in my bin, I had used several yards for two aprons many years ago, and still had over 2 yards, so the cutting was both length and cross grain for the farming. To make the top and bottom keys I stitched the left over 9.5" strip long edges, trued up the edges & cut 5" for the top and trued up the other edge to 4" for the bottom, then cut to length needed. finished size is 66" x 82"
We have a wonderful group of crafty designers, with so many mysteries and each one is beautiful.
Just how many were we as a group? Nana?

I got my mq7 done last night.  really looks good I put black binding on the edge and being next to thred of border it looks bold like Santas boots next to the red of his suit!  I'll clip threads later.

I did this mystery at the last minute.  My ADD kicked in and I got distracted from what I should have been doing by a stack of FQ's!

I like how your stack of FQ's turned out!  The yellow border really ties it together and makes a very sunny quilt.  Of course, I am partial to yellows, oranges and of course purples!

I hoped to finish my 2 MQ 7s today, but fatigue and a headache (probably due to the threatening storm here) kept me from doing much.  Got the blocks for the second one sewn together and made my blue border of 2" squares for one quilt.  Need to hit the scraps of these blues for the border for the 2nd one - need to decide whether to make it the same or different.  I have some of the 2" strips left, but they will probably go in the 2" strip drawer.  The 2nd one is the diagonal slashed one so maybe HSTs would be appropriate for it.  Maybe I'll cut some squares for them tonight.

LOVE this one, Jeanine!  The yellow sets the purple and green off beautifully!
