Your quilt is very pretty. I really like the colors.
Thanks Nana, the picture kind of washed it out, the border is dark green; it almost looks black in person. Thanks for doing this, I have really enjoyed it and it has helped to keep my mind off of things...
Spud, That would certainly go in my "rose" room if you don't have any plans for it. LOL. I love it and I think you did a great job.
Thanks Mimi. I'm giving this one to my hubby, it is darker than it looks in the picture. I hope he will like it.
Spud,
I like your top. Nice greens and pinks. WTG. Happy dancing.
All of the quilts are so beautiful! And so very different. Here is mine. If you look at the corners closely, you will see that I only got one of them to match up correctly. I spent way too many hours trying to get it figured out, but for some reason, my brain just couldn't work it out. The flowered back is the backing. It's a blanket fleece, since my SIL always gets so very cold, I thought it would be a little extra warmth for her.
Anyway, I'm working on FMQ on my little machine so that I can have it ready for a Christmas present. Ugh, what a job that is! I've never done one before, just practiced. Anywhooooo, it's a process, long and slow. But I am enjoying it!

Thanks for all your info/opinion on sewing machines. I tried the sapphire 835 and really liked it(I mean it was about 5 minutes you can't really judge LOL).
Caryl Anne - I have a Necchi Royal Series and it is not made in Italy. And as far as I researched I couldn't get any parts ( when I started sewing/quilting wanted to get a 1/4inch foot and an extension table but could not get any) now I'm sur there are independent repairmen who can fix it if I needed! The past years I cleaned it and took it apart when I had too (yep I'm pretty handy:) ) But lately the belt gets stuck... and my goal for next year to learn free motion quilting which is a big challenge on this machine.
And if I have 2 machines I can use one for piecing and the other one for quilting:).

Spudgrandma and Susie, I like how your quilt tops turned out with the dark solid borders. I am sure the recipients will surely like your quilts.
All the MQ tops are looking great!
Very pretty Susie, I like your colors, your SIL is going to love it especially with the fleece backing.

Very nice Susie, I like your pinks and greys. I did not even try the borders the way the pattern said; I had to get it done so I could put things away for Christmas and with my Chemo brain and my blondness I struggle with figuring things out. :) If I have enough time I can get it done but it is a struggle so I just did 3 straight borders, no fancy corners. Yours will be fine when it is quilted...and the next time it will be easier because you tried!
Thanks Mary, my hubby already likes it but he does not know it is going to be his yet :)
Spud - your quilt is beautiful. Hubby will love it!
