Patti, I love the way all your colors work together. I was wondering if the teal is part of the quilt or just another throw that is under your top? It just seems to go so well with the mystery quilt that it looks like it is attached. How big did your top end up being?
MNnancy -love your purple quilt, that's my favorite color. I agree the teal/aqua underneath really sets it off.

That would be Patti's quilt, Debbie. Mine is much crazier.

Okay, I'm off to try and get the borders on my MQ7. I think I'm going to give it to my hubby for Christmas, of course it will not be finished - just the top. I think he will like it anyway, he said before I got sick that he wanted one when I was done with the quilts for the grandkids but he has not mentioned it since.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Does anybody know when the voting for Viewer's Choice is? Mine probably won't make it in time, not that either one would win after seeing the BEAUTIES that have been submitted, but I'd like to vote. It is going to tough to decide, like usual. You ladies did a fabulous job!
Here is my top. I had sewing machine trouble this past week. It just didn't work right. Than the repair guy told me the brand is out of business... so on the bright side I'm looking for a new machine! But I will have to wait till my birthday to get it.
Zsofia
Very nice Zsofia. Sorry you had so much trouble but getting a new machine will be fun!
I asked this in the group but then decided it may not get an answer very soon as people are mostly done with their quilts, so for give me asking twice.
Okay, I have a dumb question... Did you sew your 2" strips all in one long strip and then cut what you needed or did you sew enough to go down one side, hope this makes sense.
Zsofia. Beautiful fabrics and I love the border.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
SpudGranmma - I cut mine into 4.5 & 5 inch strips then sewed them end to end and attached them to the borders. 4.5 on short end and 5 inch on long end. that's how I did it.
Zsofia, I love the diamonds in your border! Pretty quilt.
If your sewing machine brand has gone out of business, does that necessarily mean you won't be able to get parts? I would expect parts to continue to be available as long as people are still using those machines. Not that I want to discourage you from getting a new machine! LOL Can I ask what brand quit business?
Thanks Debbie!
I finished my blue mq7! Not my best job. I"m hoping my red one comes out better.

I finished my Turquoise MQ7!
"Okay, I have a dumb question... Did you sew your 2" strips all in one long strip and then cut what you needed or did you sew enough to go down one side, hope this makes sense"good morning! to spud, when sewing on your border, sew many strips together using however many your side measurement is then put on the two solids and cut to length needed, that way you will be adding the same way as if it was one piece of fabric, and you will avoid having stretched anything out of square. do the top and bottom the same way always measuring the three places before cutting that length. keep it square. even a pieced border needs to go on like any other border. does that clear your question. LOL and BTW there are no dumb questions in quilting..
